It also has improved fidelity over the original one. Great wireless!

Using the GLXD16 since 2018 for my Bass. Never had to buy a new Battery for it, it works, is indestructable, reliable, ... I simply just love it.

Wireless all day long, love the freedom to move around! For me, it is the Line 6 Relay G70, probably have it 8 years now...and it has the cable input clever feature despite of its product launch dating back to 2015. 10h of battery life in the transmitter, and connects the transmitter with the guitar through a both sides std 6.3 jack. So, excuse my ignorance, what is the new feature set that makes the GLXD16+ stand out, huuh?

Its dual band now - 16+ can broadcast on 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz vs. GLXD16 was 2.4Ghz only but as more and more devices are on the 2.4Ghz band you can get more and more interference issues as a result so this new version should resolve most/all chances of interference and dropout.

My Shure GLXD16 is brilliant, I bought a second battery and charger when I first bought it a few years back, so that I would always be ready to play at a moment's notice...LOL! I looked at the latest version the other day, but don't really need to upgrade to the newer version just yet. Received the very last Gladio duel pre-amp pedal from Thomann today. 😃

How does it effect the sound if you have a Fuzz Face in the first position on the pedal board? Thanks

Just bought this wireless system GLXD-6X due to my earlier version at times sounding like a wobbly chorus sound...could be because I have started using smart tech also 2.4ghz or whatever it is. So, the new GLXD16+ is way louder and quieter as regards artefacts than my earlier version, and now I can turn my Friedman Runt 20 combo up to LVL two which is great. Why is my new GLXD16+ louder and clearer sounding than my earlier version, pray tell? It has nothing to do with the built-in dbs as they are on the same lvls on both units.

I'm about to get the new one, so I can't really say by experience. But I manually set my old one by ear to a good cable. My boss wireless is for active and passive pickups, so the boss seems slightly louder than a cable, but my sure is spot on with a cable. I'm going to compare the new shure with my boss wireless and a cable. Seeing that all the reviews say the new shure sets itself over the old one I did manually is awesome. I can't wait to get it.

I've been using AKG wireless bug systems for well over 10 years and because I was told they wear out and quit working I bought enough to C Y A since that is my system. Well haven't had a failure yet including the 1st that I got with 2 bugs on the same channel. I have bugs that plug into your favorite mic, I have bugs fully battery only that sit at the beginning of my pedalboard. And then for more maneuverability I use a rechargeable 5.8 wireless out of board to amp. Only thing connected is electric and that's easily movable.

Not at all actually, this is far from being a budget product. It's a professional wireless for a very reasonable price. It does pretty much everything that 1000+ € wireless units do which is the reason why almost every working musician friend I have uses this. 😅 //Kris

@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses Worth it's weight in gold. Cheaper options are available in the 100 to 500 Euro ranges. But THIS one. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER heard anyone complain about it despite having over 10 friends who use this version and the previous version live. You buy it once and it just works. On the level of a Boss pedal for reliability.

It's not cheap but it's included in the box. Also, it's more reasonable than lower quality rechargables that need to be changed more often and much cheaper than using standard batteries (you easily spend hundreds of € on those over a few years' time). Cheers //Kris
