Its crazy no one on KZitem ever mentions adding a noise gate after the reverb. Thanks alot. I will certainly try this trick.

Another tips with "reversed reverb tail", you can add a tremolo to make an "helicopter" effect (and you can increase/decrease LFO with automation)

@@SkyeLabMusicGroup I'm at a place right trying to learn to connect my hardware w/Logic and use it like a plug-in especially for mastering. I'm also super confused about a patchbay too lol
@SkyeLabMusicGroup
4 жыл бұрын
@@melodyman1662 Patchbays are simple, unless you're wiring it up yourself. We used 20,000 feet of cable wiring our studio 20 years ago, because EVERYTHING first went into the patchbay. In a nutshell, everything first gets routed to the patchbay, and "normalled" to it's usual destination, where it will go when there is no patch cable inserted. When you want the signal to go somewhere else, you use the patch cables to take from here and make it go there. Hope that helps. :) Arty

Súper dope as usual. Can you do a vid mixing vocals to a two track instrumental? From mix to master. I am sure you’ll get a lot of views on that since that is how most home studio are going about it. Downloading a two track from KZitem and then singing over it.
@SkyeLabMusicGroup
4 жыл бұрын
Hey Vam. Love the topic and it sounds like a great idea, but I just want to understand exactly what you mean. Importing the track is pretty simple and after that it's just doing a vocal session. And then you're mixing the vocal and mastering the whole thing. So in a sense, it's really a video on recording and mixing vocals then, no? I really do want to understand precisely what you would expect and want to see. And I'll do it 👍

Thanks! Nice song on your channel. I'd blend that guitar into the mix a little more though. Another reverb to match the ambience of the band, so the guitar sits in the track better, , and I'd cut a little high end to bring it further back in the mix, and I'd compress a little more. Just my 2 cents :)

I enjoyed seeing a new video from you. Always a pleasure. Didn't know the Formular for compression calculation, I used to switch in rythmic effects by listening. But that's great to know as a starting base. I try to be not too much on sync to leave more vividness into a mix. But it's very handy to have such tools and know such stuff. As always, thank you a lot. Stay safe and sound.

SkyeLab Music Group any video you’ve done has been cool. But I notice you really get a lot out of the stock logic plugins, particularly in your uad lexicon review, and as evidenced in this video. Maybe some things about how you work with the logic plugins to get results like you got with favorite older gear.
