I feel your pain, John. Tho I'm a life-long player and not awful, I only spin in one direction lol

I love that John is so used to commenting using the vlogbrothers channel that he specifies "-John" despite being on his personal channel.

Ive been playing tetris super casually for 20 years and watching this helped me know some things that have been keeping me from playing better. Now i know i need to work on tripple flipping and jagged bottoms. Thanks dude!

What a great review, love how you adapted to reviewing lower level play and giving feedback they could actually use. Also very positive!

I'm a Tetris novice, and I really appreciated how you reiterated things that are more of the basics, as well as pointing out what things come with time and practice. I look forward to smashing my wee baby PB into dust with this knowledge

im not good at tetris passed like new player skill. but i think a big issue people tend to have and john seems to do a lot is instant reward. its really nice to see oh i put a piece here and clear a line but forgetting it covers a hole farther down when delaying that line to get a better piece to not cover future holes is harder to see in the exact moment. especially as the stack gets taller and taller

Hey, I play on an emulator and feel like I'm ok, but level 19 always destroys me. Currently, I basically only DAS, but feel limited by it. Do you think learning to hypertap or roll on a keyboard is worthwhile? I have both a mechanical keyboard and my laptop's membrane keyboard, but never really got consistent with either. Of course I've only really tried rolling on the buttons themselves. There's also a parallel tech in other games called butterfly clicking which is suppose to be fairly consistent. I'm pretty confident I'm not going to buy an NES just to play this game, but I could possibly buy a controller. Tell me if you have any tips or suggestions, thanks
