ICSCC PRO3 Championship race from Sunday June 19, 2022. Dry track this time!
0:01:12 - T7 apparently I'm just not very good at and P2 runs me down. Try to defend but they're quite determined in spite of me running them to the inside edge.
0:03:08 - P1 struggles with brakes. There's a mechanical issue, not sure what at this point, and can close the gap.
0:04:36 - As a result he backs up his braking point which is great for later, in theory.
0:09:29 - After eight minutes of chasing P1 he suffers further braking issues and spins into T1. Bit scary and quite glad there was a gap to squeeze through. P2 and P3 are quite happy to take advantage.
0:12:34 - Out of class M3 GTR shows up. Monster of a car but the driver isn't so quick in the corners and with my small lead I wasn't about to let them bog me down so I turn down to take away the option for the usual late move into T1. Normally I would not do this but that car isn't racing anyone. He bobbles up the corner and P2 and P3 get to deal with it.
0:13:03 - The classic nuclear apex option into T7. World's worst pass on display. I am not sure why people do this all the time but here it is, yet again early apexing and as a result dog slow out of the corner and then I overlap him on exit. Ridiculous. Could make a montage of cars pulling that move and it's not only slow but unsafe for everyone involved.
0:16:30 - Lapped traffic let P2 and P3 catch up a bit! You two need to fight more, don't worry about me! Spent the lap clearing traffic and by the end of it the gap was gone.
The rest of the race was lapped cars and managing the gap, nothing wild, but still had to work to stay in P1. Fun race!
Extra special thanks to our volunteers who help make everything possible, from event coordination to flag marshals, it's a ton of fun to see everyone each weekend!
