Such a king for releasing some funky and interesting patterns. This channel is a good library for patterns you wouldnt ever think of. Keep it up!

I have found the solution to what I was looking for. Thank you. I did not understand much of the theory behind it. But understanding just the bare minimum I was able to create the pattern I was looking for by tweaking things (mashing random nodes together until I finally made it). I really do not understand what I'm doing but I got it. Thank you for sharing this knowledge with us. I wish I fully understood what you are sharing, but I borrowed some parts and created my own working mess that hey, "It just works." Definitely I'll try to study more of what you are sharing to really get control on what I'm doing hahahaha. It seems that the possibilities are endless.

That's kind of how it started out with me, i was tweaking a setup that someone else showed in a video and eventually it worked even though it didn't make sense to me at the time. Then i tried to break it down into smaller and smaller parts until it started to make sense.

Hello Sam, I just stumbled on your channel. Thank you very much for your work these more niche type of guides are incredibly useful for understanding how things work and interact with each other. It makes it easier going forward to remember what does what. Much appreciated.

I am looking for a way to depict the waveform of an audio file, like an oscilloscope, which I still haven't been able to do, but I found your tutorial. Close, but not exactly what I'm looking for. Do you think that would be possible with the node editor? Also, I'm looking for a way to do gradients. It seems like Color Ramp would be the thing to use, but it's not. Such a simple thing to do, but I can't find a way to do it. Thanks!

I had a thought the other day, maybe you could download the wave form into blender and use the magnitude in some way to control the size of one of the shapes that i've made in this video

Hi Sam Bowman. Question for you? With regards to procedural material shader. Could you produce some gem stone, raw ore, crystals, mineral ect?
@snow_mamba

Yeah I was hoping to revisit my metals soon, I still have 4 left on my list to complete. I do have some crystal type setups too in my archives, just never made a tutorial. If I find the time I would like to revisit them.

@@snow_mamba I'm really interested in producing unique original content like Glass armor from fantasy games. Which is acutely metal armor forged in such a way that the metal atoms form crystal lattices. it would be cool to give a metal material a geometric grain but I simply don't know how to do it. Mithril ore, metal, and alloy would be so much fun to imagine then produce procedural, but I don't have the foundation just yet.

@@snow_mamba Anyhow keep up the amazing work. Soon I hope to be able to credit you in the application of a procedural galaxy shader. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to model and rig the spiral arms.
