Please How did you know that std dev in the exp is 10??
@allinoneRealChannel

Please some one explain me As explained in video if cp = 1 then specification width and standard deviation should be same (as it look in diagram) but actually we are dividing 6 times of standard deviation . So normal distribution not just touching the specification USL and LSL ,but actually it is well within specification limit.
@indreshsaluja1805

Consider this as an example. LSL=0, USL =12, Mean =10, Stdev =2 Whats the Cp. According to you it would be 12/2*6= 1 showing that process is capable of meeting customer requirements. But in this case 2.28% defects are being produced in normal process. Kindly explain please.

Indresh Saluja Mr Saluja, thanks for the question. While looking at CP, you are looking at short term capability i.e. Z St value shall be applicable and not Z Lt...and at that Zst level you will not have 2.28% defect as stated by you. And considering the Normal dis concept, we are saying that beyond a ND only 100 - 99.73% data will fall.

You got me wrong. What I am stating is the error in the video explanation that if cp=1 it means process is meeting customer requirements which may not be true.
@ravikishorergajavalli

Correct. Hence, we should always look at CPK value not CP value. Please correct me if i am wrong on this.
