I asked the local butcher who provides hand slaughtered chicken if there was a way they could also provide free range hormone free and I suggested a certain farm, but they weren't happy with my request.

Now every Imam is a qualified halal certifier and qualified slaughtermen. All the Muslim businesses are being destroyed because of greed. If they knew all this from years ago why let it go on so long. Full of it

Assalamualaikum Mufti. I would like to just correct you on your statement about backyard chickens, hormone and food. What you said is not true about this chickens. I farm chicken in my backyard and I do not use any hormones, bad food and injections. Alhamdulillah I slaughtered my chicken after 10 weeks and it is 4.5kg of meat. What you mentioned is true for some farms but it is not a necessity. Why these birds grow to that size is due to selective breeding. Cross breeding between different chickens can change their physicality. Just like horses, cows and goats. 3:22

If Halal Certification is demonetised will we have the same controversy today?? To put it other way, are the Islamic councils whoever are keen to resolve this issue able to take up Halal Certification without making the same money as the current authority, and keeping it to just the labour and material involved without any surcharges and costs to the public in general??
