so you are making a PERRY, NOT a cider. I was looking for the apples. I have not seen Perry (baby cham) here in Australia in decades. Loved it when i lived in Cardiff in the 60's. Thanks for posting must give it a go.

Good luck, i hope it turns out nice. I had to give up on youngs yeast, my flat is too cold for it to work. We havent been wild pear picking yet this summer, hopefully we will find the time to do it this wknd :)

I'll be sure to set a bottle aside for you if it turns out decent. I've got a busy Saturday coming up poaching and canning the other tree's pears for Christmas Mulled Pears.

@@MetallicrealitE No. It is a Moorcroft Perry tree in this video. I've got a Cooking pear tree (Catillac) that I'll be using to poach and can this weekend.

Funny this is...Babycham is made from Moorcroft Pears...and I was going to make it a Sparkling Perry. So I might turn out to be Babycham...
