The furnishing and wallpaper collaboration between Asian paints and fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, called the Heartland collection, is definitely a milestone in the décor industry. With an eye for detail and aesthetic intelligence, production designer Shruti Gupte took upon the vision of this alliance and aptly translated the fabrics into a space that oozes of richness and grandeur. The Exotic Indian look is a melting pot of culture, art and tradition. A lot of smaller details like the vases, lota and the sofa legs are curved, so as to offset the strong vertical lines on the wallpaper. The furniture has been kept light and minimal, to avoid an overpowering element in the setting. The Feminine Poetess is a mix of earthy colours and elements dominate this look. The Gokul Pichwai wallpaper features a village scene adding to the raw look. A very heavy wooden sideboard is placed against the wall to keep the look grounded. All in all, the three looks are beautifully layered with art and texture making them an amazing interior design.
