THANK YOU so much for making a complete series start to finish you don't know how hard it was to find something like this. I've learned so much that I'll be taking into my own ventures. I don't sell my hides I honestly just got into the predator hunting scene and shot my first fox last night he came out well enough for an amateur but now I know what to do. Again thank you sir great camera work and explanations.👍👍👍

New subscriber here. Been a hunter all my life but never really got into trapping. Recently have decided that I'm going to get a couple coyotes for personal use. Is this something I can do in my basement? It's going to be pretty damn cold here soon and I'd like to not be out in my shop freezing my ass off. Not necessarily the fleshing, but drying and tanning. Any kind of downfalls with doing this indoors?

Curious why borax is ok on canines, but not the other animals you mentioned? You just use it around the ears and legs? Would it dry out too much if you did it all over? Also, are these considered tanned, or is that another process?

When you split your board are shooting for a certain width or just where it fits? I've never figured out turning them through the mouth, it just seems so much easier going bottom up, but every other video about flipping does head first. I was glad to see someone that know what they are doing, do it the same way I do :)....Another great series, thanks as always for taking the time to share the knowledge
@CoonCreekOutdoors

backyardmeat nafa specs for yote boards are 9'' at the base, so i split them at nine inches. really im using the same dimensions as solid boards just cutting them where they will split so the pelt will come off easier. if you use the "just where it fits" method your pelts will have inconsistent base width. to each own on the flipping thing,i've tried it both ways but like you I never understood why you would want to fight the head first.
