That's awesome, specially for a tree that young. Keep up the good work Eric.

Finally some practical fig wasp caprifig infomation. Thanks. I’ve got 4 one-year-old capras. 2 in ground, 2 potted- ( Concord Ca) all have set figs but no wasps so far. Do you know a source for populated profichi to colonize a local wasp population? Checking on ETSI but so far nada. Did you initially need to import wasps or did they just show up?

Under normal circumstances, anyone you know that has wasp filled profichi could send you some but there is a very recent infestation of many of the wild and cultivated trees in SoCal so sharing profichi is not wise right now. Hopefully, it can be managed

@@figsandchocolate5553 What county in SoCal are you in? I just want to get an idea of how far south they're naturally found, without having to hunt around for them. Also, you didn't answer OP's question: Did you import your fig wasps from another area/person, or did they just show up at your caprifig trees on their own??

@@NaniTreas1 I am in Santa Barbara County. Fig wasps have been in the area for over 100 years and they range from SanDiego all the way up to northern California. They are not in every location but they are found in isolated pockets almost all along the coast and some inland areas. I did not have to bring them in, they are already here, near my trees.

This is a local seedling find from Santa Barbara, CA. I found it near Girsh Park so I just called it Girsh Park Caprifig
