After completing high school in July 1999, Ebrima Baldeh began his journalism career as a rookie freelance for the mainstream newspapers in the Gambia. He worked at the Gambia Daily newspaper, between December 2001 to December 2004. In January 2005, he moved to GRTS-TV, where he has risen from Assistant Producer to Managing Editor of the newsroom. He's a regular writer for the Standard newspaper, and has previously written articles for the London-based New African magazine, and the defunct Waato magazine in Helsinki. In 2014, he registered The Paper magazine as a bonafide media entity.
