What does leaving the regeneration days at 0 mean? It would be nice if you explain why you should leave it at 0.

Hi Yemi, sorry I missed your comment! The water softener will regenerate using the amount of gallons of water you use, leaving it at 0. If you change it from 0, you are basically telling it to regenerate more often than you need it to.

Excellent concise video. What should the *hardness* be if you live in Rocky Mountains, mid-West? Secondly, what does the triple-arrow-triangle button do?

What model is this autotrol valve good job by the way. But I think you were wrong about the resin I think you're supposed to tell the system how much residence in it so the 1.5 is a one and a half cubic system. So if you only have one cubic foot of resin in it you would tell it one. If you have chlorine in your water your system is more than 2 years old I would tell it it has one cubic foot of resin because a lot of your residents going to be destroyed you want it to work on the capacity of the resin that's in the system. So when you tell it the correct amount of resin. It will then adjust the amount of salt based on your low normal and high setting. I'm not real familiar with the heart of troll valve you did a good job showing how to set the settings but I understand the settings so take my word for it brother. I would really like to know which model this is that's the hardest part is figuring out what model you have cuz they have so many

In that little clear tank to the right, does the little black ball need to be inside? Easy putting it back in too. Could that be stopping my salt from goin down in tank too?
