You’re welcome. The ProGrip straight edge comes in 3 different lengths, 24”, 36” and 50”. I know other types of straight edges and track saw guides have sections that can be combined for extra length, but the ProGrip straight edges cannot be combined. The reason I bought the 50” ProGrip is that I wanted a straight edge for cross cutting 8’ sheets of plywood, which are 48” wide. And the ProGrip straight edge guides seemed to have better reviews than other brands of similar makes. I already have the Kreg Rip Cut Guide for ripping 8’ sheets of plywood lengthwise that goes beyond the 48” of the straight edge. The limit of the Kreg Rip Cut Guide is 24”, hence the need for the 50” guide for wider cross cuts of the 8’ lengths. The 24” Rip Cut Guide will however handle any 8’ lengthwise rip cuts of 48” wide plywood - i.e. if you need a 36” piece, you just set up to cut 12” off of the waste side. The combination of the two tools pretty much covers any necessary cuts of full sheets of plywood and is much cheaper than buying more expensive track saw kits. This also eliminates the need for combining sections that can sometimes lead to a crooked edge between the sections with some brands. I’ll put a couple links below for my videos on the Kreg Rip Cut Guide and how to set it up if you’re interested. Thanks for watching!
