Finally the little migratory shorebirds are back from the other side of the planet and landed on my beach behind the Nightcliff Swimming Pool, roosting there at tides over 7 m. There seem to be more birds than last year and I counted 492 on this occasion. The clips were filmed with a handheld OM-1 and Mzuiko 150-400 mm lens from the top of the cliff behind the fence. There are no migratory bird signs and the public awareness of the birds in this location is probably low, hence there is a high degree of disturbance quite often unintentionally I assume. I just wanted to highlight that it only takes one human or dog to displace the birds from this little area.
