If Project Binky was on the Motortrend (nee Velocity) channel there would have been at least one scene with Nik muttering in frustration about the project, Richard recounting how the Egyptians invented brackets, two flashbacks, several scenes repeated in clips, more face time blathering on about the purpose of the project and only a third of the progress actually achieved, and a teaser about the next show. Thankfully, Project Binky is not on a broadcast channel. Love the project, the asides, the production values (it is quite well done) and the sheer bloody mindedness to see it through. Please make updates on Binky after the build is finished. I am confident it will not end up a "trailer queen" being towed around in a trailer and only unloaded for brief public showings, but seeing it thrown about on actual rallies would be wonderful.

It a redundent signal. You use x-teeth minus one, then have the cam sensor in a similar fashion (1tooth min). Then the ECU can compare signals. And if one fails. It will still allow the engine to run. And you'll need an easy way to find TDC #1. Or for misfire detection. You can check rpm variation, coil-on-plug impedance, or an open circuit.... The possibilitys are only limited by the ECU, or the programs (think OEM), diagnostics, or creativity

Finally time to ad my comment. now I am done bingewatching 33 episodes.I love this build or rebuild or refit or what is the most apropriat name for it. The way you solve things without taking any notice of how impossible it looks from get go and the shear level of work that has to be done. and the sense of humor applyed through out this series is awesome and necessary i thinh to keep just moderately sane in the end. Suits me fine though. And I understand your drive to make things as good as possible and still making it look avesome. That takes some ocd to commit to such task, which I understand cause I have it too. The decission on fabricating and not just buy of the shelf items and fit them in is great. Do Not Buy what you can make better yourself and sometimes it is even cheaper( rarely ) often it can't be found pre made. Best of luck with the rest of the build boys, waiting for next installment impatiently. This series is a warnig about what happenb if you are not allowed to tinker with things as a child, it will eventually burst in to action in adult life and may even result in and urge to rip wellmade things apart ( obviously not a mini ) and to reassemble in a way that was never supposed to be. enough crack on BOM.

I'm sorry for your loss... I found it three years ago... It's a hellish predicament to be a BOM fan. On on hand you want them to get bloody moving. On the other hand you don't ever want them to finish... So if they could just hurry up a little slower that would be nice!

One thought, it looks like you created a same direction flow heat exchanger. Heat exchangers are more efficient when the coldest water into it is next to the output of the cooled medium. I.E. the water should enter the heat exchanger right next to the throttle body in a reverse flow heat exchanger style.
