Good job man, as a Toyota Tacoma owner multiple times in a row, always get the base model trucks and end up, adding the SR5 headlight stock because it has an integrated fog, light switch, at least on the Tacoma it’s so much easier to install that switch to because you don’t take the airbag out you just pull the trim and the switch mounts to the side clips in with literal plastic and then you plug it in. You’re making me want to get a BRZ to tinker with it on the side man! I need to do some research on the difference between the models and what not, I don’t want an automatic, but my wife can’t drive a manual so there’s that too 😢

The DRL broke on my bumper as well when I went to get the bumper repainted, the shop didn't tell me and put them on back in place, kind of crooked, I noticed and they had to buy some new ones on the insurance claim. I can't believe they did that still but yes it seems they rust out and break all the time. Especially here in the rust belt.

As the video is coming to a close, I am wondering how you haven't gotten into wiring the new foglights in. I realize that, from a cost-savings perspective, it makes sense that Subaru would just leave the guts of the car the same and make changes at a cosmetic level so they can sell different trims.

I have a question that has to do with the 2022 wrx. I have had the car now for about 4 weeks. It is premium model, manual. I bought it brand new and was the only person to test drive it. Now has about 700 miles on it. The car has been great, and then today when i went to leave work it acted like it could not start and was sputtering before it finally went to normal and started up. This is concerning to me because it is brand new. Should I be concerned? Is this a common problem with the new wrx?

I want to do my 2017 Outback (selective yellow SAE). This way too complicated for my comfort level. And the duel "mirror option" on on my car, the standard mirror adjustment is on the door; so not sure that will fit or work; the new part looks too big and not sure that's how 2017 is wired anyway. I'm to the point of just using an aftermarket wiring harness and calling it a day. Still comes with a dopey switch, but at least I wont be splicing wires as Subaru says to do in their kit. "if I'm going to forced to do that, may as well just run a new harness?". Question is does anyone have any other suggestion so that I might can use the existing wiring somehow? Also what's interesting is on my dash panel of mostly blanks of switches "it has only one on there and its the dash dimmer" 3 "blanks" have wires connect to them with clips like anything else? Which means theses are not blanks?? Or are they there as a pre-wire for something else that you might want to add ???

hey i followed your job on the up n smoke bugeye wrx from 3 years ago and i got the same smoker n all and the smoke is only coming from the cam seals after a few minutes i just replaced the cam seals when i did my timing belt job less than 300 miles ago is it possible i just didn’t get the seals in there far enough and they pushed back out under pressure (also followed the engine reseal from that job to do the cam seals)

@@kittytrail Cause on the VA WRX, you take off the front bumper cover, and the foglights go with it. Then you can work on the bumper cover somewhere where it's easy to get to, connect the wiring in when you put it back on, secure the wires on before you secure the dust cover on the bottom of the car and it's just much, much simpler than what he did to do the work because all you need are rhino ramps. However, I don't know if the front end of the BRZ is similar to the VA WRX.

I used the OEM foglight kit on my '14 Outback Base 2.5i. Plug and play - easy install like this one as even my base model was wired for foglights.. The switch supplied for my kit was better than the one on this BRZ - a new mirror control switch with a pushbutton replaced the original mirror control switch in the dash and was truly plug and play as it just snapped into place. I also had a relay to install in my kit - I'm not sure if this BRZ needed a relay also. Good video.

I have a question: Is it typical for Subaru forster to leak oil? When the engine is running, but when the engine is not running, it does not leak oil that much. That's what I notice with my Subaru what is doing after a few days keeping an eye on the engine leak. Should I be worried too much, and the Subaru Forester is a 2010 the engine was replaced at 190,000 miles with a 110,000 Mi engine, so i have a total of 1,520 miles on it driven with the new engine.

Hey I got a question for Mr subaru or anyone with the answer but what mods will genuinely improve overall reliability because I plan on getting my first car a 2007 forester xt and I'll be modding it since I'm a car enthusiast however the very first mods I do I want to improve reliability so I don't blow it up, I know to never go wide open throttle below 3k rpm and I know to use 91 or 93 for better knock resistance but should I also buy a better oil pan with baffling and a oil pickup? And what about getting a uppipe since I've heard that cylinders 3 and 4 get hotter than cylinders 1 and 2 so would a better flowing less restricted up pipe be worth it?

I have a question regarding a Subaru problem. Is it possible when you replaced the gasket on the engine under the oil pan with the new update gasket, should oil still be leaking cuz in my case that's what's happening. This is going to be the second time they look at this problem.
