@@MOTORHEADMISFITS-zk9su I noticed alot of car's were together, and for some reason people tear them apart, don't do anything else, throw all the parts inside and think they did you a favor. I think alot of people get in over there heads, once they rip it apart. But want crazy prices for a 4 door 6cyl.heap,just because it's old. IF you look hard enough, you can still find a decent car for a fair price, that you can drive and work on.

Absolutely 💯 That's exactly how it happens, some folks have no business taking things apart to begin with. You have to start with small projects and work your way up to a full restoration.

I would go for the first AMC myself. I am with you on Novas, not something I would seek out. Most Mopars are way over rated price wise as are popular models of other makers nowadays. As I have gotten somewhat older I switched up in my quest for something different. I have a 95 suburban with a 69 427 in it, a 99 Ram 1500 short bed with a 68 383 and a 86 Bronco 2 with a 68 Chevy 283 believe it or not. They are just super cool to me and didn't cost mega bucks to build. I still have a 66 326 Pontiac engine but haven't came across the right swap vehicle yet. One day????

That little rambler is kinda interesting. Sounds like you got some very cool toys , I love the old suburbans last one I had was a 92 2wd lowered hot rod black with red interior , drove that thing all over the country, many trips down Route 66 in the old girl. Keep watching we may just find a perfect candidate for that little pontiac motor. As always thanks for watching and commenting.

Well..Honestly... the ole Rambler 2 stick was a rare option. Seen 1 years back. Don't know lots about them other than it was some kind of over drive deal. The 51 is way over priced. Just my opinion. The rest.. I'd have to get em on a lift. Take a screw driver & a magnet & eyeball the piss out of em. Before I'd even think anout their prices. The wagon might be interesting. But being it's been slammed. Makes me wonder if their tryin to hide shit. That's my ole school opinion though. Got to keep in mind. When someone selling. They believe they got a gold bearing mother load treasure. So be cautious & careful. Just cause it's rare or old. Doesn't mean it worth it's weight as a Mother Load!

Absolutely.. just because it's old doesn't mean it's worth it's weight in gold. So many flipper tricks going on anymore you absolutely have to really check it out very very well. I was thinking the twin stick had to be some sort of overdrive, haven't had the chance to go down the rabbit hole just yet. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.

@MOTORHEADMISFITS-zk9su Not a 100% sure it was a over drive option. The AMC Marlin had a twin shift stick too. In the 67 model. It was a overdrive. Not sure. the earlier one may of been a kick down passing gear gizmo. It's beena long time. And my memory is not as sharp now. Got some miles on me now. Do some digging. I'm sure the info out there.

@MOTORHEADMISFITS-zk9su Just will pass this a long as a lesson. A buddy of mine picked up a 98 Lincoln Nav. A Kunke model. Had a beautiful unblemished body. Almost new looking. Interior was perfect. Had high miles. But well maintained & taken great care of. Paid a ok price off a private sale. We got it up on the lift. The entire under neath was ROTTEN! You could take a screw driver and poke holes in everything everywhere! Floor boards unframe brake lines fuel tank . You name it. It had cancer that was uncureable! What a shame! On the outside it was perfect! But what you couldn't see. It was Dead on arrival! He was sick. Ended up a parts heap. Barely got his $$ back. Qfter months from parts. Be Careful!

He was driving my sister & I were in the 72 Maverick when he hit a snow drift & ditched it up onto its side. She told him to slow down was a bad area ahead & that it wasnt great in snow. Yep he said he had it and we hit ditch 1/4 mile up the road 😆 🤣

I blame all those pop up shows ( Counts Customs ) and many others for pushing prices up for older cars. I’m a car and bike guy, I think OCC was the worst disaster for Harley. I build my vehicles for my tastes and don’t expect thousands for taste in cars or bikes, which is why I don’t sell them.

From the Internet RE twin stick: "In a nutshell, Twin-Stick was Rambler’s tried-and-true Borg-Warner electric overdrive system, beloved of penny-pinching fuel misers everywhere, but with a sporty twist. A second lever was added alongside the console shifter for the three-speed manual transmission. So the setup worked pretty much like a three-speed-plus-overdrive standard transmission, but with a convenient second stick so the driver could manually select or disengage overdrive at any time, on the fly. Additionally, there was a small white button atop the left shift knob allowing the driver to kick down, instantly and clutchlessly, from overdrive to standard gear range."
