I'd really love PC3 to have sounds similar to that of Assetto Corsa. I understand the budget constraints, but its one of the few areas that PC2 is lacking just slightly.

The only thing that bothers me is that thus car sounds exactly like the 2014 Toyota and the Porsche sounds like a Ligier P2, SMS don't care about the cars sounds?
@Yorkie065

SMS cares, we just don't have the resource to make or record new car sounds for every single car. So unfortunately, we have to take existing sounds we have and use and make alterations to those for a lot of new cars unless we get lucky and manufacturers have very good high quality and usable recordings.

nice driving bro! Could you make a video specifically sitting down and tuning the LMP1 cars to get the most out of them at Le Mans? I drive these cars allot but not to good at tuning and I know you're really good at it. PS I did a few hot lap videos too so feel free to check them out if you get a chance :)

Yeah, I saw that you did a couple in TT and got in the lower 3 minute - teens. Very good laps! I've not really fiddled with the cars too much as of yet. These laps in these 3 videos were taken with the default setups, but I have a video coming tomorrow that uses a custom setup, but even then it was just a simple case of closing brake ducts, radiator opening and adjusting tyre pressures. Haven't really looked at the suspension side of things yet.

So what bothers me is why these cars are in a new class. Why not put them into a class with the 2016 LMP1 cars we already had, or give it a different name, I know the 2014 cars have different ERS systems that deploy automatically on throttle input, but why not move things around? Remember, even though the SMS cars aren't real, they are in the game as 2016 model years which, now that I've noticed it, bothers me to the moon and back.

Sick driving! I can only get 3:26s MAX (on the pad) in the porsche. I cannot for the life of me carry this much speed through the med & high speed corners :( people are complaining of the sounds - I think they'd be better with less engine volume and more hybrid noise volume, maybe that would be a potentially feasible future change? Cheers

It is a V6 Hybrid yes, but developers don't always have the resources to make or record new sounds for every new car, and have to take existing sounds and adjust them if necessary.

After exaustive testing today i found out that the Audi Was the BEST out of the 3 modern LMP1 but i also noticed the different fuel deposit limit and the consumption of fuel(2014 Was 6.5L and 2016 is 4.15) Can the Porsche and Toyota really keep up with the Audi?
@Yorkie065
6 жыл бұрын
Did you do much setup work? From what I have driven so far on the default setups at Le Mans, I found the Audi the quickest to go quickly in. It is super stable on the stable setup, but still has a really nice balance to it, so it just encourages you to push and gives you huge confidence in the car to stick. The other two cars have a bit more oversteer in their Default LM setups, so I didn't feel I could push them quite as hard, but their whole Hybrid systems are different too (will be doing a video on those at some point). The Audi has a lot of power behind it and just seems to easily pull you along and keep going. The Toyota and the Porsche you have to kind of rag more, and be more aggressive with the Hybrid to get the most out of it. I've not done too much work myself setup wise, only for a video that is coming tomorrow with the Toyota. So it will be interesting to see the setup potential of each car and how much quicker they can get with it.

Yep thats what me and all my friends thought, i need to understand de difference between porsche/audi/toyota hybrid, for example the porsche u can use the hybrid in the straight for as much as you want but if you do it then before the porsche`s you cant use the ERS anymore. I touched rear rollbars and weight distribution to make the car more stable 50,5/49,5 because the porsche was just oversteering like a beast. I think they can go fast but with the audi i did 3.15.9 but with the other 2 im not cappable of even trying to go like that fast.

Here's a summary that should help with the hybrid systems: Audi has 6MJ of hybrid boost allowed per lap, Toyota and Porsche both have 8MJ. Audi and Toyota both do their hybrid regen from braking only, where-as the Porsche gets it from both braking and then also waste gases from the turbocharger (hence the recharging when on full throttle). Both the Audi and Porsche also only get the regen from the front brakes I believe, where-as the Toyota gets it from both front and rear braking. Audi and Porsche deliver the hybrid boost to the front wheels, where-as the Toyota sends the power to both front and rear wheels. Because of that, you can be more aggressive with the hybrid boost in the Toyota and use it in the corners a lot more easily, where-as the Audi and Porsche you have to point and squirt more because of the under-steer. So with the Audi, you don't get as much hybrid usage over a lap as the Toyota and Porsche, but it makes up that with a more powerful engine. The Porsche you get a lot of regen, so the boost is usually always there to use, but you have to be careful that you don't use the 8MJ lap allocation before the end of the lap, which is easy to do as there is always the boost to use. The Toyota you very much rag everywhere, boost sooner out the corners and try to regen what you can under braking. I'll be doing a bit more of a video on it soon, but hopefully that helps.

Yorkie065 You know a lot about this man! You helped me a lot, thank You! After reading all of this. Its better using the brake bias to the front on the Audi/Porsche and in the Toyota we use 50/50(?) I didn't knew that there was a limit on the 2016 cars, is there anyway to know how much there is left in the car display?
@Yorkie065
6 жыл бұрын
Within moderation yes. Although you may get a bit more regen shifting the brake balance around, you're also going to effect the overall balance of the car under braking. Going too far in one direction could increase the potential of locking the tyres doing most of the work. And generally going forward is going to give you more understeer coming off the brakes, and too far rearwards more oversteer. So going in one direction over the other depending on where the regen is done is advised, but don't go nuts. 60/40 for the Audi and Porsche as per the default sets, and 57/43 for the Toyota are generally good areas for maintaining a good balance. Obviously you can go a click or two further, but the more you deviate, the more you may need to do setup work in other areas and adapt your driving style into corners to accommodate. And no, unfortunately there isn't a way to tell how much of your lap allocation is left until you run out, so it's purely down to testing and figuring out the best boost plan.
