Tamiya TS paint sticks to Tamiya PS. So if you put down a coat of PS on the outside of the lexan fenders you can then top it with TS to match the body. Much respect for seeing this project through and making these videos 👍🏻

Small tip on shocks. Find a small spacer to put under the shock piston. The idea is to keep the piston in shock oil. Instead of the shock piston bottoming out on the shock when its fully extended. Super sick build man. I built something similair last year but with the proline stepside c-10 body.

For the Chrome that you're not a fan of you have a couple of options. Hit it with flat clear, it tones down the brightness while still preserving some of it. Or, you can strip it with the purple stuff. Soak it overnight and the chrome finish will desolve by morning. Then you can paint it whatever color you like.

Never understood why we put grease into suspension, since oil is solvent to grease? How is grease supposed to seal anything? Same goes regarding mtb forks, the grease goes light, isn't easily visible where you left it, during consequtive service.
@DoubleClutchProductions
2 жыл бұрын
It's not in the suspension, grease is reacting with the rubber in the O rings keeping them from swelling from the silicone, it works very well compared to not using grease in o rings.

If your having problems with leaking shocks it probably because your using pliers with no protection it's scoring the shock shaft and that's not good

I already am, it would have not helped me very much here and goes against the concept of my recent builds themed on kit bashing and getting creative with things you have on hand, i would still be on part 3 modeling junk and playing with print settings. 3d printing alienates the people that don't have one and makes builds like these seem unachievable 🤙😎
