For all you students.....Take a deep breath and then read these points...This is gonna really help u... Case 1. If the triangular face of any pyramid is in HP then for step 1 assume the solid standing with its base on HP. Then just think from where u can see the true shape of the base...Obviously from the TOP and hence u have to begin by making the top view (Below xy line) i.e a pentagon first Case 2. If the triangular face of any pyramid is in VP then for step 1 assume the solid standing with its base on VP. Then just think from where u can see the true shape of the base...Obviously from the FRONT and hence u have to begin by making the front view (Above xy line) i.e a pentagon first In this problem its case 2

I could have done that...copy and paste stuff....And that is wise also if you are making this drawing in a CAD software... But what happens when someone tries this on a drawing sheet.... Will he be able to copy paste....? No....Thats y i explained it in that way.... The time it took may be a bit longer but thats how it goes..... Anyway....All the very best Smitha....

Hi sir plz will u explain this Q.A pentagonal pyramid has height 60 mm and the side of a base 30 mm. The pyramid rests on one of its sides of the base on the H.P. such that the triangular face containing that side is perpendicular to the H.P. and makes an angle of 45 degree with the V.P. Im afraid, we cant. Since the triangular face lies in the VP, the base of the True shape (stage 1) has to lie on the VP (refer the comment sir has pinned). And since we always draw the base 1st (which will be seen on the VP as the FV) we should start our drawing from the VP
