This video was very helpful and the simplest way to explain each step you did. No run around and nothing in this video confused me Thank you so much!!💕

Despite my primary business is making cakes, I also quilt and want to make a quilt for an associate whose baby is due in a few weeks. Since I bought a light pink rosette fabric for one side of the quilt, I needed to find out how to sew over the rosettes and wound up here. I used to sew everything, my clothes, wedding and bridesmaids gowns, mens shirts, drapes, you name it and really enjoyed watching you on the floor doing what I've done, since who has a table that works when we need it! I feel more comfortable now after watching this but I want to say how impressed I am with YOUR INCREDIBLE ABILITY... could never draw the way you did even though I tried because years ago I really wanted to design clothing. HOPING you have made a great business for yourself and your future is bright with lots of all kinds of gowns. Thanks for the video and tell your little one I enjoyed watching her too.

Note to self 6 yards . Take the length of it and fold in half then fold again.. it should be a square .. assure sides of fabric line up.

You can measure the knee lol the waist is just safe to use plus 2” because everyone doesn’t remember to measure the knee lol

@@MadebyKarenM I'm scared to use the knee .. her knee circm was 51.. that radius was huge. I liked her waist it was 37.5+1"

Question? How many times do you fold the fabric to achieve this? That's where I got lost as I watched the video.
@MadebyKarenM

6 yards, fold over twice, you’ll have more of A square shape

You could diy the measurements, or order a set of circle skirt templates!

Is this possible with 3 yards
@MadebyKarenM

I wouldn’t attempt with less than 5 yards. 5 yards will get you about 35” long

You can make it work! Just cut all sides just as short. A 5 yard train will still look good

@MadebyKarenM thank you But can you can go into a little more detail when you say cut all side short ?

I think what she means os to just make sure all of your sides match the maximum length you can cut it.

Why did you add 10" to the 40"? Or why did you give her a 50" train when she wanted 40 inches
@MadebyKarenM
4 жыл бұрын
I measured the 40” flat on the floor. It becomes shorter when you pick the fabric up to knee level, so I added ten inches. It’s difficult to explain in words lol it makes more sense when you actually do it
