It was at least entertaining. ;). I have a few FourSevens from their very early days. I have continued to be a fan boy for years, buying multiple flavors of Preons and Quarks. Just last week I ordered not one but two Beta QRv2 and a shiny, new Beta QRv3 Classic. So, YES, I think I am getting my money's worth. It has been three years. What are your thoughts on this topic today?

Nice, it has been a long time since I had this light but I would say they are quality lights and they are "probably" better than the competition.

@@johncacey I know many people like to trade gear and swap/sell things. I know it but do not understand it, really. I tend to do enough research to satisfy my obsessive quest for quality that once I buy something, unless it turns out to be total junk, I keep it. I see you have a collection update video, so safe to assume you are still into light gear. Good. ;) Have you noticed that 4/7 - Prometheus has a 30% sale right now? That includes one of my most favorite lights ever, the Mini Turbo MKIII. It throughs a great, tight, very bright spot way down range.

@@GenjokoanWell I am also one of those that has to research things overkill before I buy. But, I fund my hobby with the hobby. Not in a position to blow money on hobbies so this is none way I get new gear. Also, I am obsessed with keeping only what I use or has sentimental value. So, some things get moved because at the time I think something is just not a fit anymore. I am still very much into lights. Was looking at some new SF lately. I am a big SF fan. I need to do another Vid on all this lol

I was interested in the Prometheus Beta QRV2 Brass Flashlight until I learned it was made in China. I prefer a product made in the United States when possible. Again I said when possible I prefer a product made in the United States. China has plenty of issues with the way they treat employees, what they pay employees, how many hours employees must work, conditions employees work in, etc. Now with that being said I will always prefer a product made in the United States. Being a American I absolutely love supporting businesses in my own country. The most important reason to me is more jobs for Americans. If you have known someone who works in a factory then you can understand. That factory creates jobs. A demand for a product creates expansion of a business and more jobs. More jobs means more people off welfare or that can get off the streets. A job equals a roof over your head. A job equals clothes on your back. A job means food in your stomach. My dad worked in factories so when one would close up it meant possibly getting evicted, not getting new clothes when yours had holes or were worn out and it often meant hunger. I dream of a country where those that want jobs have jobs. A country where homelessness doesn't exist. A country where not one child cries from hunger. That's why I will always buy a product made in the United States when possible instead of one made in China or any other country for that matter.

All valid points, sadly the $$ wins out most of the time.

Prometheus does make the Beta QR Titanium in house. They're released once a month in batches, and are made in the US as far as the body goes. I'm not sure about the driver.

He is very clear about where and how his products are made. He purchased 4sevens and i believe that’s when he was able to start having some of his products made in China. I believe he decided to do this because of the huge demand for his products. He hides nothing! He goes above and beyond to put out great products. You are still supporting a machine shop in NorCal.

Thanks for that link. I had just bought the titanium one under the impression it was American made and the comments had me second guessing.

@@calebtownsend4384 yeah i wish i would have bought some of his original lights made in NorCal but hey they are still great lights and your supporting a local business. I don’t think Jason will use made in China to skimp on quality. I think he has improved the quality and at his own expense.

@@johncacey yes look for the Lumitop edco2 looks just like the worm with a magnetic quick release not exactly the same design as Prometheus but same idea & function for under $20

Luckily we have enough people here in North America that supports the original design (Prometheus lights). My guess is Lumintop shot their own foot copying some of PL designs. I'm not concern if these "un-willing" people buy the knock off version with equal quality. I will never support design thieves. You can't trust a company that likes to copy. Function is proof and Lumintop doesn't have proof because they copied that function. Without Prometheus Light's design their "worm" wouldn't exist and Lumintop holding their balls without pants lol.
