I feel that sunnah wants to make it easy for us to pray salah and shaitan does not wants to keep it easy to pray salah. Henceforth there will many people who will argue sunnah and try to confuse over this ruling , there will be waswasaa. Therefore Let's stick with sunnah and wipe over socks which are called socks (i mean to say just the normal socks which we are comfortable to wear and wipe over in wudu as per the ruling....).

@@smokeherrin unfortunately it is necessary to consider Sheikh Albaani’s sahih status. If it was from Sahaba RA, then Imam Abu Hanifa would have surely noticed this from Sahaba. Similarly other 3 imams would have consider this hadith sahih. Why is this hadith not in Sahih Bukhari and sahih muslim? So it is illogical to consider it sahih. As this is a bidah of 19th century. Logically as well, Thin socks are useless and dont stop any filth from touching ur foot. On the other hand thick and water proof type of socks would keep them clean so massah is valid on them Please see it is not a small matter. This is the opinion of Sufyaan Ath-Thawree, Dawood, Abu Thawr, Ishaaq Ibn Raahawaih and Yazeed Ibn Haaroon.” [Al-Muhallaa (2/100)] Then he (rahimahullaah) goes on to relate the statements of the scholars that forbid it, according to what they contain from differing and contradiction. Ibn Hazm (rahimahullaah) said: “So if there is found in the khuffs, or whatever is worn on the feet, any holes that are small or large, long or wide, such that some part of the foot is visible, whether a little or a lot, or both, then all of that is the same. And wiping over them is permissible, so long as any part of it continues to attach itself to the feet. And then he goes on to refute them and explain that it is an opinion that has no evidence to support it except opinion. Then he closed that with his statement: “However the truth in this matter is what is reported in the Sunnah, which explains the Qur’aan, in that the ruling for the two feet, which do not have any garment over them to wipe over, is that they must be washed. And the ruling for the two, if there is a garment over them, is that they can be wiped over. This is what is reported in the Sunnah ‘and your Lord is not forgetful.’ [Surah Maryan:64 ] The Messenger (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) knew, when he commanded for the wiping over the khuffs or whatever is worn on the feet - and he wiped over the socks - that there was large and small holes, as well as no holes, in the shoes, socks and whatever else is worn on the feet. And he (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) also knew that there existed the footwear that was red, black or white as well as the new and the old. But he (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) did not specify some of it over another. And if the ruling for that in the Religion varied, then Allaah would not have forgotten to send down revelation concerning it, nor would the Messenger of Allaah (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) have neglected explaining it, far is he removed from that. Thus, it is correct that the ruling for this wiping applies to all conditions.” [Al-Muhallaa (2/100)]

It was narrated that Yahyaa al-Bakka’ said: I heard Ibn ‘Umar saying, “Wiping over the socks (jawrabayn) is like wiping over the leather slippers (khuffayn).” Al-Musannaf by Ibn Abi Shaybah, 1/173 it’s authentically reported ibnul munzir he narrated from 9 companions such as for example Ali ibn Talib, amar ibn yasir, abi masud, Anas bin malik, ibnu Umar, bara ibnu azib, Bilal, sahl ibnu Sa’d , abi umamah they all permit wiping over their socks and these are all companions Reported in al-Awsat Abu Dāwūd brought more companions such as Amr ibn Harith, and Umar, and Ibn Abbas they all permitted wiping over the socks

@S AK I’ve lived in the uk all my life, freezing winters. Never caused me difficulty to wash my feet. And if it was permissible not to wash feet for the cold why are the hands arms face etc all different? Do they not feel cold? This is a nonsense and deviant view of a minority of relatively modern scholars the same bunch as usual. Bin baz uthaymin albani etc and in English you just say “socks” and anything can be classed a sock. But there is a meaning to what was meant by “jawrabayn” and khufayn. A kamiz is okay to pray in, but modern day kamiz in English being a “shirt” for example can be a shirt with no sleeves, a shirt that is too short from the back that it lifts to show private parts when you go into sujud. So a shirt is a shirt and a kamiz is a shirt but the kamiz which you’ll find in the sunnah isn’t the kamiz you’ll find on the catwalks or on the railings of Hugo boss clothes.

Deficiency in fiqh. Study fiqh in detail. All 4 madhab have established proofs. Delve into the books of hadith and stop blind following what you told as kids. Clearly you haven’t studied the basic concepts of usool al fiqh nor hadith.

@@Randomhandlename bro, first you’d need to prove that those juraybain were like cotton socks that we wear today. Once that is proven, then you’ll need to sjow Sahih Hadith. Not classed Authentic by one person only. As Quran has asked to wash out feet. So we cannot just take narations of students of Imams. Its not that simple as Salah is not accepted without Wudu.

@@Randomhandlename The primary requirement in the sock over which wiping is permitted in wudu is strength: it should be sturdy enough to be worn without shoes or sandals (even though this would not actually need to be done) in one’s normal daily routine. Strength is not seen as an exclusive attribute of leather; it is well possible for a sock made of material other than leather to exhibit the same quality of strength. In fact, we sometimes find leather socks that are so delicately thin that wiping over them would not be permitted.(Shafai scholars)
