My mother used to throw fits whenever I played this song. She absolutely hates it. I love every song Propagandhi has ever released. Being from Winnipeg has its benefits I suppose.

Everyone has listened to the lyrics. Try separating your worship of MSM and understand that critiques of Israeli government’s foreign policy is not anti-Jewish. That’s just an excuse to allow Israel to steamroll over Palestine, while conveniently lumping them all into the « terrorist » category.

I first heard this song and album in 94 when i was 14 years old, the first punk band i really got into, i really loved this album, still do. so, When Biden said 'Isreal has the right to defend itself' I had this song in my head. I hadn't listened to it for years, i couldn't remember the lirics, it had been so long i didn't even remember what the song was about. so that evening after a few beers i put it on.. i think i then had a breakdown on my bathroom floor... i can't listen to it without crying now... My heart is broken for Gasa....

sucks they have turned away from this song. I have only seen them play it once live... I brought my sister to the last time I saw Propagandhi.. she is very open minded and I wanted to hear a part of the music scene I was into.. the only thing could actually hear was "fuck the border" and all of the other lyrics to Propagnadhi songs were lost.. this song is is such at a pace where every word is heard.. sadly they don't play it much anymore.. other than Ska Sucks.. they rarely play this song anymore.. it is sad.

It's not really that the original album version was definitively better, or even that his vocals have changed tone a bit with age, but more like it sounds like he hadn't quite rehearsed the timing of the lyrics over the years.

Well, the album version was released in 1993 when Chris was about 20 yo and the show above was in 2009 so about 16 years later. It does not seem too surprising to me that the voice sounds different from 20 yo to late thirties.

how to lodge a complaint? This is blasphemous. Shouldn't have been allowed in Australia (usually the government blocks heretics and the like from entering). Also, calling for "lighters" is glorifying smoking - an addiction that leads to cancer.
