Paul talks about the Indian Perennial Kale cuttings we were given by a neighbour about eighteen months ago, which he now thinks may be a strain of Taunton Deane perennial kale.
The cuttings have grown into robust plants; almost four foot tall. We have not been harvesting from them as were told if we wanted to propagate quite a few plants from them we should not harvest from them until they had flowered and set seed. This has now happened so Paul will soon be saving seed to sow, and has today taken cuttings from the perennial kale and shows how he is potting these cuttings up. In a three or four weeks hopefully he will be potting these on individually.
Since 2018 we have been growing using the No Dig method of cultivation.
