I am obsessed with joining the US military and carrying the duty of a soldier like my dad and grandad , i dont care about the salary or other benefits but wanting to serve, young people in Us have no idea how is it lucky to have chances of joining the biggest, strongest and most historically rich org in the world. Sadly i am not a us citizen😊

FYI you can end up stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming or some other lame place while in the Air Force. The advancement is very slow compared to the other services, more rank, more pay. Get a job with a Top Secret clearance and you will get out after 6 years and get a good middle class job as a civilian. Don’t go into Security unless you want to be a cop in civilian life.

Im joining this year and do you have information about the asvab? 1: Where should you study? 2: what belongings did you brought such as phone, books, products 3: will your paid be transfer to your account or it is checks 4: will the airforce pay you forever after 6 to 4 years 5: which hold more value 4 or 6 years Lastly what do you think people who do 20 years Thanks in advance if you respond
@prestinsae
Жыл бұрын
1. The ASVAB is pretty much an SAT style test that the military makes you take. It's going to be on a bunch of random subjects like math, science, etc. I bought a big study guide book off of Amazon that definitely helped a lot and shows you what to expect on the test. (Different jobs require different scores and there's a bunch of scores for each category they test you on) 2. For boot camp you really only need to bring your phone, no books, hygiene products like a razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo etc. And enough clothes to last you a couple days. After your first couple of days you will be wearing what they give you. Like your uniform, shirt, underwear, etc. It's all given to you except those personal hygiene stuff. 3. You'll probably sign some forms for pay to be direct deposited into your account like I did. I'm not sure exactly but it isn't checks. 4. They will not pay you forever unless you retire by serving 20+ years. Once you leave it's up to you to use your benefits like the GI Bill for college and things like that to get a little bit of cash. 5. It depends what your plans are. For me I didn't plan on staying in so it was more valuable for me to do 4 years so that I could leave early instead of the 6. They'll try to make it seem like the 6 is much better than the 4 but honestly I would sign the 4 if you're unsure about whether you want to commit for a long time or not. It gives you the opportunity to leave at 4 years instead of waiting another 2 years if you end up hating it. 6. I admire the people that can do 20 years but it's not for me. You'll definitely end up ALL over the world and in different places and bases if you do 20 years. You won't stay at the same base forever. Hope that helps, let me know when you make it in!

For me since I only did 4 years I do not get paid anymore by the military. But I am using my GI Bill right now which is one of the educational benefits from being in the military and you can get paid for 36 months while going to school. Basically if you do less than 20 years and don't retire from the military then you won't be paid when you leave. (Unless it's the GI Bill or other benefits)

im 19 and its been my goal since i was a kid to be in the army. i had médical complications but im finally ready to enroll but something picks my curiosity. Why do some people say Air force is better? and should one go officer instead thank you in advance!
@prestinsae
Жыл бұрын
Air Force is generally considered better because we get treated better, our quality of life is better in terms of our housing, food, workload, etc. That’s why people say it’s easier bcos it really is somewhat “easier” compared to the other branches If you plan on making the military a career then I’d say go officer (but you need a bachelor’s degree to be one). They get paid more, and their lives are a lot better then the normal enlisted folk. Hope that helps, take it easy!

You think he got offended cause I told him over text, since he asked if I had taken the asvab before? I said yes with the Navy, but I scored lower in my 2nd try of the exam and wasn't satisfied with the rates they offered me based on my score. I was only fine with PR Which is the job you did in the airforce. The other were aviation jobs and there has been a lot of tragic accidents among sailors and marines who work on an aircraft carrier and I totally don't want to be involved in those job sites. Had wanted to retake the exam again, but they told me in the Navy that I'm not allowed to retest since I scored lower in my 2nd try if I would have scored higher they would allowed me to retest I'm banned until the next couple of years until they switch management. That's how come I want to go airforce. Since the doors are currently closed for me in the navy, I could still enlist, but I don't feel comfortable with those rates. Need to choose 5 rates when going to meps for that branch.

@@prestinsae In my town there is only one recruiting office for each branch. Also in December 2016 I tested positive for tuberculosis and then was prescribed medication for that disease. I took the medication for 4 months straight so the virus could get kill. Right after the 4 months were over I was given a letter of completion that I took the meds and I'm clear from the virus and it was signed by a physician, but do you know if that will disqualify me for MEPS?

@@prestinsae oh I thought u deleted it bro lol. I was saying how I will be doing aerospace medical 🏥 services for the Air Force I get shipped at in august hopefully 🙏🏽 didn’t sign contract yet. Is Aerospace Medical Services good? It transfers well…also is the Air Force fun? Is it worth it based on what’s going on with todays world conflict (like Russia 🇷🇺 Ukraine 🇺🇦 China 🇨🇳possibly ww3 )? I didn’t want to take the vaccine but I think I will have too. Conspiracy going around saying it has nanotechnology and will alter DNA 🧬 and give you diseases and underlying health conditions. Should I take that risk? Lastly talk about when your off your job in the Air Force can you freely travel like for example to different states and cities? I know these are a lot of questions but really wanted your insight before I make my final decision bro 😎 thanks
@prestinsae
2 жыл бұрын
@@ai11eleven No worries bro, from what I could find Aerospace Medical Services looks like a pretty solid job that transfers well when you get out or if you decide to get out. It looks like you'll basically be a paramedic/EMT. And then yes I think it's worth it even with conflicts potentially going on because the majority of people will not go to those dangerous locations anyway. You will have to take the vaccine, everyone I worked with had to and I never heard of any weird things happening to them after taking it. And lastly, when you're off the job you are free to do whatever you want like a normal person (travel, hobbies, etc.). Hope that helps wish you the best! 🤟
