it's not nearly, there will be no more witchers, lmabert was of the last generation (although he is the same age as geralt and eskel in netflix's version) vesemir was a fencing master, he does not know how to create witchers. Deaglan's action's ended it all.

His reasoning makes sense as the reason the elves and dwarves weren’t initially hunted by humans was because they needed them to survive in their newly inhabited world during the conjunction of spheres. But as humans advance further and became self reliant they then began the cleanings. He did what he did because humans were becoming more self reliant. Specifically in terms of dealing with monsters and magical threats with help of sorceress along with advancements in military technology. Those of you who play the games are also aware of the fact that eventually the humans will turn on the mages for economic, political, religious and social reasons. *His reasons hold merit and are justifiable, but so is everyone in the movie. There are no real bad guys, just people with complicated motivations that contradict each other. From the king to the mutated monster.*

Deglan's reasoning makes sense but is morally wrong. Deglan knows witchers will be persecuted and hunted down by humans just because of their mutant nature. It should be noted that witchers need to exist since there is a multiverse of realms with different monsters who can come into the continent like the Wild Hunt. Also, most monsters are likely in hiding and they are intelligent in their own right. Humans just need something to hate because they can't accept or work through the pain they have. Plus, many boys were orphans because of selfish human reasons. Despite this, Deglan's paranoia caused the fallen of Kae Morhen.

@DwolfFW

This guys reasoning for making monsters is nonsensical and based on this movie other humans are justified in hating the witchers. For starters Witchers are made not born and were created to fight monsters. So making monsters so Witchers can have a living makes no sense since you can just stop making Witchers when the monsters stop being a threat. As for the remaining Witchers there are so many ways they can have a living given their abilities that niching them as only monster hunters is absurd.Hell, ever king has a mage or two employed to them. You think a physically superior magic user wouldn't be offered work? Geralt in the books was propositioned multiple times to be a body guard, a spy or a knight . They can be farmers or sailors too. So the idea that you need to make monsters that massacre townsfolk just so you can kill them is both evil and counterproductive. It probably cost more to make and hunt the monsters then what you would make doing the job. Also people might not have such a elevated distrust for the supernatural if they weren't being killed by a new hybrid of monster every few years. In the end the Witchers were the bad guys because the longer they existed the more crazier versions of monster would pop up to kill folk. So Deglan proved why Witchers can't be trusted and Vesemir taking his side in the end despite knowing the truth didn't help. This movie shows why the witchers should be hated as a group in another way. Not only are they making monsters that prey on the locals, thus proving all the stereotypes about Witchers true, their "recruitment" strategy is foul. They take a bunch of malnourished kids with no training and throw them into a swamp full of monsters. Monsters they have no chance of defeating. Were their only option is to run or die in horrifying ways. You deserve to be hated as a group if you condone that form of selection.
@OverlordFlinx
2 жыл бұрын
You missed the whole point. He wasn't making monsters to keep themselves purely paid; he made them to remain relevant. Because when humans stop needing you for what they forced on you, they'll kill you because your different. For every time Geralt received offers of work and acceptance, he was run out of a town or spat on for being a mutant three times over. The movie goes out of its way to show how the humans wiped out the elves out of their own interest once the elves posed the slightest threat--no, when the idea they MIGHT pose a threat some day came to mind. Through the whole movie people have not a single nice thing to say about Witchers--a creation of humans to solve their problem. In no way is making monsters the right thing, but it 100% makes sense as a fear response. How 90% of the movie and its message on humans finding any way to kill what they don't like went over your head is beyond me. There are categorically a dozen false points in your entire post.
@DwolfFW
2 жыл бұрын
@@OverlordFlinx I did address his point of using monsters to be a justification for their own existence and it's crap. First, off making monsters that's whole purpose is to kill innocent people is evil. There's no justification for that at all. By making monsters you are proving the point of every other human that hold the opinion that Witchers shouldn't exist. They are the equivalent of a security company funding criminals to brutally oppress a community systematically just to stop said criminals from time to time. Maybe the humans wouldn't have such a elevated hatred and distrust for the supernatural if they didn't constantly get brutally ripped to pieces like the opening of the movie. Also you're not doing other Witchers any favors by making monsters that more times then not either kills or maim them. So not only are you responsible for the death of innocents you are also killing the same people you claim to want to protect. It's a failed idea through and through. On the subject of humans not liking witchers. This movie totally justifies the hatred people should have for them regardless of the monster making. Witchers take children with no experience in monster hunting and throw them to the proverbial wolves to be slaughter in a nonsensical melee they can't win. Every witcher doesn't know about the monster making but every witcher knows about how they treat children which makes them complicit in child murder. The witchers are the bads guys in this movie. There's no getting around that. This movie isn't lore accurate thus isn't canon. Which is good because this totally chances the history of witcher persecution from unfair to completely justified.

@@DwolfFW There isnt any clear good or evil in this film. Witchers were always disliked by the humans, the fact that they create monsters was the final staw. If the monsters went extinct the humans would have hunted the witchers anyway, thats deglans reasoning for creating new monsters, he wanted to prevent that his people (or children how he calls them) getting genocided. And remember, he only wanted to create and release small and weak monsters, kitsu tricked him and got away. Of course, his deeds arent 100%ntly justified by this but you can kinda understand him. Tetra on the other hand is a purist which wants to elimante every thing which is not human, probably fueled by her childhood trauma. Thats why she already wanted to invade Kaer Morhen without any evidence that witchers are responsilbe for the killing of the innocent. She did not get the Idea to kill the witchers after finding out that they create monsters, she alreardy hat that planned and just waited for a reason or evidence to do. And at the end she was right, witchers indeed are responsible for the murder the leshed comitted. But does that justify killing all witches and invading Kaer Morhen just because 1 witcher decided to create monsters? Does that justify tricking Kitsu into attacking witchers even though she destroyed her home? Again shes not 100% right, but you can kinda understand her actions.
@DwolfFW

@@Irgendjemand2009 No the witchers are evil in this movie. They serve up innocent desperate children to be killed by monsters just to collect what's left. They deserved to be stopped as a group and EVERY witcher knows that's how they select future witchers. So they all are complicit as long as they are apart of their order as a witcher. So other humans are completely justified in hating the witchers in this movie. This movie portrays witchers to be the monsters that the masses imagine them to be.
