I simply adore this show. The English version is very good, but the Norwegian version is superior in every way. As always, there are so many nuances that get lost in translation and the sentencing and wording is so much better in Norwegian. I'm glad they made an English version, but I wish everyone could experience the original language, because most of the jokes are at least twice as funny.

We could and would do that ourselves. And it'd be a damn fine amount cheaper without tax. The government is literally a force saying "Just give us 60% of everything so we'll use 2% of that to save you the effort of having to call these people yourself with only the occasional fuck up" and somehow people bought into it. @dramaticdog337

It's just what i was thinking when i watched this show the first time. So tired of seeing vikings ride into battle on bigger horses that look cooler but made no sense to have there, when they really mostly used Fjords, Norwegians, Doles and Icelandic horses. Importing a horse from another country back then was for one, extremely tedious, since horses are not easy to move by boat and moving it by land would have delayed their return by months. And they also didn't have fancy stables and products, caring for a horse was work, you had a horse because you needed one not because having a pet pony was fun. So you wanted the horses that were built to survive in the environment with a minimal amount of help from their owners.
