I've been bumping my protein intake with pure 3 scoops of protein powder. I've found when attempting to consume protein, I end up slowing down and not finishing, but getting super hungry later By having it all as a smoothie, I can down it without difficulty or feeling gluttonous. By doing it this way for both breakfast and dinner, I consume at least 150 g of protein and I worry less about satiety as well

I kind of see this. Whenever I had a weight plateau and can’t lose any more weight. I just start eating eggs for lunch instead of the salads with the carbs I’ve been eating. Normally, I pretty much go carnivore for two or three days and then I start losing again. Part of it may because I usually have eggs for lunch instead of the salad and usually cook it with some kind of meat. It’s hard to really cut carbs more because I’m only eating about 30 carbs a day anyway, so this may not apply to me, but I can see how it affects my body still. I think for your average person just cutting 25% of your carbs at all would cause them to lose weight but keeping muscle with the hard part for me. I lost 192 pounds in a little over a year and a half but though I was exercising more, I was finding it hard to keep muscle on, part of that might be that I’m 55 now but I wasn’t eating nearly enough protein and strangely I would just add two or three chicken wings or some extra beef to what I was already eating and I was able to put some muscle back on and it didn’t affect my weight at all which I found surprising because I spent the first year eating as little as possible and just meeting my base nutritional goals. I still want to lose about 40 pounds but at this point it pretty much stopped and been at the same plateau for about three months now so I guess I’ll try going carnivore for longer than just having no carbs for a while 🤔

My M/O is to try to get at least 200 g of protein in per day… Which means that sometimes, I am grazing, and/or struggling at 10 PM to get a double scooped protein shake in - is this method still OK considering the hypertrophy training that I’ve engulfed myself?

Fast, diet induced, weight loss always rebounds, and with a slower metabolism. Exercise is the best way to lose fat that stays off, as long as you don't exhaust yourself and you also sleep enough. It may be slower, but it doesn't slow your metabolism, so works better long term. It only works if you maintain a lifelong exercise program, though, which you should do for numerous other health reasons, anyway. Eat a healthy diet, maintain an exercise program you enjoy, and go to bed early, and your fat will be eliminated as you breathe out CO2.

The video titled "Protein is the MOST Important Thing for Weight Loss | 11 Comprehensive Studies" provides a comprehensive guide to understanding the role of protein in weight loss and maintenance. Here's a summary of the key points: Protein for Weight Loss: The video discusses the importance of protein in weight loss. It cites a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, which found that a high-protein diet led to more fat loss than a high-carb diet, even when calories were matched. The high-protein group also had lower triglycerides, indicating better fat utilization. Protein for Weight Maintenance: The video highlights a study published in the International Journal of Obesity, which found that increasing protein intake by 15-18% after a weight loss journey can decrease the chances of regaining fat by 50%. Thermic Effect of Protein: The video explains the thermic effect of protein, which is the energy required to metabolize food. Protein has a higher thermic effect (20-30%) compared to fats (0-3%) and carbs (5-10%), meaning it burns more calories during digestion. Satiety and Protein: The video discusses how protein can help control hunger and reduce calorie intake. It cites a study that found that participants on a high-protein diet consumed 441 fewer calories per day when left to their own devices. Protein and Muscle Mass: The video emphasizes the role of protein in preserving and building muscle mass, which can help burn more calories in the long run. It cites a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, which found that a high-protein diet, with or without exercise, led to more fat loss and muscle preservation. Practical Recommendations: The video provides practical recommendations for incorporating protein into your diet. For weight loss, it suggests replacing 25% of your carbohydrate intake with protein. For weight maintenance, it recommends increasing your protein intake by 15-20%. It also advises starting your day with a high-protein meal to capitalize on the thermic effect and satiety benefits of protein. Please note that these are the views expressed in the video and may not necessarily reflect the reality or consensus among experts.

1st I like your videos but on this one topic I think short term studies in science are just speculation. 20 yrs back it was eat anything as long as you just have 2000 cal's as an example & now they say it was wrong. High protein through life could effect your kidneys too & you don't want to find out after it's to late do to your early yrs of overdoing it like drinking alcohol. I do (250) average cal daily deficit at end of yr. My goal on protein is 1/2 of carb's to a 100g max with an avg of 14.5% on it macro. I've dropped weight past 3 yrs slowly (the plan) with muscle growth each yr too & I only walk 🚶♂️ for exercise. If nutritional science was clear on this topic we wouldn't have all this videos talking about protein or that diets best for you. Marketing of powders is another issue in my eyes too just getting your 💰 $'s. Get your protein from food is enough. Stay ❤ safe & good luck on your life long 🛣 journey!

There's a real misunderstanding about plants and vegetables and I've had this discussion with vegans and vegetarians they don't want to accept the reality that when you eat a vegetable your killing a life form as well vegetables and plants are alive too and they don't want to be eaten just like animals but unlike animals a plant can I just get up and run away from you so Platz have evolved over time defense mechanisms to make them less yummy and in many cases actually poisonous do you know why Chili Peppers are red and super hot and make your mouth burn it's that plant defense warning system telling you don't eat me idiot I'm red and I'll make your mouth burn it was originally thought that Tomatoes were poisonous and in fact that once upon a time there were varieties of tomatoes that were poisonous there's debate today whether or not tomato should be eaten or not because of the compounds like elected that they contain the reality is that many of the fruits and vegetables that we eat today have been cultivated and bread and genetically modified over hundreds of years to actually make them less poisonous and palatable for consumption you ever had a apple and rhubarb pie? So many plants out there will kill you quicker than quick if you don't know the right version of the plant to eat now does it sound so amazing and healthy Marvel to be vegan the truth of the matter is is that we are carnivores that had to over millions of years become omnivores in other words we evolved and developed the ability to consume plant material merely for survival temporarily survival because even our bodies have a hard time processing most plant material like fiber that is contained in the poll of most plants the reason why we use fiber for keeping regular is because our bodies never evolved enough to digest the insoluble plant fiber of the plant-based vegetables that we consume and so your system merely passes the fiber through not being able to digest it no this is so typical this being a good solution for constipation but why is it that Lions don't get constipated? How is it that your dog or cat that are complete carnivores don't seem to get constipated could it be that the constipation that humans experience is not from consuming too much animal protein but rather might be the result of all of the various plant products that we can barely Digest such as carbs and starch and lectin and all kinds of other compounds that are in plants that do not wish to be consumed and then were told to use plant fiber which we cannot Digest as a solution to deal with the issue that is caused by the consumption of all of the various compounds that we were never designed to fully Digest I know a lot of people don't want to hear this but the Carnivora crowd makes a very compelling argument for why maybe you shouldn't be consuming vegetables at all or in very small quantities in short if God didn't want us to eat meat then why did he make it so yummy LOL and why are most plants in their natural on modified form completely almost unpalatable don't believe me try to eat wild versions or variance of your favorite vegetable try having a wild carrot lol it's not the carrots that you get at the grocery store

@@Soul.Is.Willing According to the video, you eat one gram of fat pet every one pound if ideal weight. You can find your "ideal weight" through an Internet search. My ideal weight is 131 pounds, so I should eat 131 grams of protein per day.

Okinowans lived for decades on 80 pct carbs and were lean. Have to define what "carbs" you are talking about. You left fiber out of the equation which is huge for satiety. beans have it all - fiber, carbs and protein.

People incorrectly blame the Trace Amounts of tryptophan in Turkey for the reason why everyone gets lethargic and passes out after Thanksgiving but actually it's been scientifically proven no it's the 4,000 calories of mostly starch and carbs you ate and all the sugar you ate during that Thanksgiving dinner that causes you to basically pass out as you completely overloaded your body with carbs and sugar in fact Thanksgiving meal are traditional Thanksgiving meal the only thing decent to eat is the turkey everything else about the meal is carbs starch sugar

Off subject a bit but heads up about house of macadamia. Been waiting on delivery for 3 weeks + and now delivery has sat in usps pending since may 24. Has been a disappointing experience.
