The first rider is the type of kid that the UCI and its agenda is going to stop from ever even trying. MTB DH is not F1 and the grass roots riders are the life blood of the sport in terms of its longevity.

Yep. And the UCI is removing the competitive ability of biological women by letting dudes pretending to be girls to compete in the women's field. Fk the UCI. I will NEVER support them again. I'm just hoping some filthy rich person with nothing better to spend their money on starts a new international cycling association completely superior to the UCI.

The Pinion Gamux is the future of DH for sure. Gearboxes probably won't ever be mainstream in the rest of MTB but it's 100% the way to go for DH.

Everyone who already drove a Zerode bike or other gearbox equiped MTB knows how good it feels, even for trail bike or Enduro bike it could be considered valid

@@PedroStringhini Certainly some riders would prefer the gearbox for Enduro, but the weight and drag will be a problem for others. Still, they will keep improving, I'd love to have a lighter one on my Enduro bike eventually.

Nicolai Bikes tried it for a decade. They had some great designs but they were 15 years ahead of the industry.

It is heavier and has more drag. pedaling and shifting isn't that important in downhill, you can literally break your chain and still win. The guy said the bike is 19 kilos which is over 40 lbs. That is 11 lbs heavier than my full sus aluminum bike with no carbon fiber.

@@brian6speed it all depends on the track. Some tracks don't require any pedaling. Some of them absolutely do.
