4 sure! They were clicking on all cylinders, that is true. Too bad it blew apart a short time later. John’s brother, Tom & Cook & Clifford thought they could do it better then, John!

John Fogerty has one of the best rock and roll voices of my lifetime...if not at the top. Just a shame CCR couldn't have gone on a little longer. The amount of great music they put out in such a short time was just phenomenal.

Mmmm... *NO.* (imho) I love CCR but I think very rarely a live version is better than the studio one, *(*)* and that this general rule is specially true in the case of control-obsessed ultra-mega-perfectionists like J. Fogerty... Yes they grew up as a live band but I think it is in studio where they reached outer space. *(*)* with lots of notable exceptions like Joe Cocker's _With a little help from my friends_ covers both at Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour and Woodstock, or Spanish band Radio Futura's _El canto del gallo_ at the Arena Auditorium. :)

John Fogerty is amazing. He is in his mid 70s and I just saw him with his sons in concert last week and it was epic. Badass. Amazing. I love CCR so very much. I consider John's solo albums to also be "lost CCR tapes" like I do with Jerry Cantrell's solo stuff and Alice in Chains.

This group had the best singer and songwriter, John Fogarty, of any American band--with the possible exception of the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson. Can listen to CCR all day. There's something so elemental about their songs--they seem always to have existed. It's hard to believe John Fogarty actually wrote them!

John Fogerty remains an ambiguous figure. During his heyday in Creedence Clearwater Revival it was he who wrote the band's hits, from Proud Mary (1969) to their last million-seller, Sweet Hitch-Hiker (1971). Since then, his solo career has produced gems such as Centerfield (1985) and Blue Moon Swamp (1997), both of which have demonstrated Fogerty's knack for concocting songs.
