I would equalise the other two channels by also using 10-stop ND filters and similarly doing long exposures.

The non-trichrome picture you took with the infared filter looked amazing. I now want to experiment with that. That honestly might be the closest thing we can get to aerochrome without trichroming bw color. Amazing work as always.

One Idea I got watching this video: Why not using the infrared sensitivity of Portra 800 in a double exposure of the same scene - one exposure without the infrared filter and one with the infrared filter attached and the ultra long exposure? Could you please test that approach as well? You really got me curious :)

Thank for a great video. I usually play with analog pictures and digital IR but not analog IR. One question: what if we make last (red/ir) frame not at Portra but some BW IR like Rollei?

If you have a camera which can do multiple exposures with, I'd just shoot normally and then re-expose with the R75 filter

Why wouldn't you just expose it normally without a filter, and then once more with the IR filter highly overexposed? Basically a double exposure with IR and regular colors. Wouldn't that also work and be easier?

Usually Hasselblad 500c/m for 120 and Nikon FE-2 for 35mm. I usually don't bring it up if it doesn't have any impact on the process.

I would have guessed you'd do a quadchrome: blue, green, 50% red, 50% infrared (doing red first for the "boost" in exposure, preflash) which would yield less of a drastic infrared look, but nice job nonetheless.. :)

It is possible to somehow shift the infrared to visible spectrum with any filter/lens?
@user-co6ww2cm9k
Жыл бұрын
Yes. A light amplification tube from a night vision scope or night vision goggles does this. You may not find the optical clarity particularly impressive, and you will only get one color (usually white or green).

@@dian_photo it's possible with the usual RGB filters so I don't see why it shouldn't work if you swapped in the R72. He might have even done it himself judging by 2:28, otherwise he would have shown all three seperate exposures I'm sure
