Like any good franchise, the third instalment is the best one.
My true record was actually 2:38.222, but that run was a luckier one that I fumbled due to fatigue, so I decided to upload this one anyway as three milliseconds could literally be explained by variable latency.
The removal of megalotix RNG makes this quest more bearable, and with the lowered health stats across the board, it opens up more opportunity to diversify strategies in some rooms. However it still comes down to the final check, if magilz is going to clap or not. I had a few runs promise a 2:30 or less, but none of them were viable as magilz was in the wrong position.
I had basically solved every room except the first and last due to insurmountable AI challenges that didn't have 100% solid solutions. The orange fucker in the first room never wants to jump down from the raised platform and often survives the script, adding anywhere from 3-7 seconds to what should be a 20 second room. Aimless Rain's stagger exacerbates it and makes it worse and more likely.
Magilz is still the same as ever, but the fight is now so short that there is barely any time to secure a viable final position. Most runs will die due to magilz not pulling in the same manner each time, sometimes deciding to play sniper from the backline, or bait me with a super long back-it-up dash that firmly places him in the middle of the platform with no hope of a drop.
Every other room had a very consistent clear rate of probably over 80-90%. It took all week to get to this state, which left little time for executing it, which is what this quest really needs; the maximum number of pullings of the lever.
I decided to Gran Gladia Soul my blastor and not my other weapons, as its the weapon I use the most, and I am not exactly rolling in augment protections.
---------------------
Room 1
Look at the metius to ensure it always buffs as early as possible so that he can clap as early as possible. Try to get all four mag/slug heads to jump down and take max damage from a single finisher, as that's all I have time for. Go hover over the nearby pit to maybe bait a clap out, while staring at him otherwise he won't do it; and even then he sometimes won't. Finish off the mag/slug heads with the rest of the chain.
Room 2
Photon blast in the middle to knock most enemies off and put a dent in the Gunblade guy. Take care of the other two pettas while not looking back at the Gunblade, hoping he dies or falls off. In this case, he didn't, so I had to take extra time to do that; it's extremely unlikely that he survives two PBs, but if he does, its normally because he gets pushed out of the second rifle PB due to the stagger animation.
Room 3
Stand in that exact position to be able to hit the Launcher guy's chest and to make all the Krisnukls fall off as they try to target you with dives/tackles. I preferably don't want to crit too much so the chest doesn't break immediately; instead I want him to either jump or just keep walking until he gets closer to the far edge. Then break his chest and use 4 staggers + hail to kill him, while storing chain for the bears.
Standing on the edge of the top platform while targeting the lower two bears allows Aimless Rain spam to hit all of them, while hopefully baiting the lower bears to close the distance to make the second finisher more likely to finish everyone off. The bombs have to be cleared otherwise they will block projectiles and cause all damage to turn white. (It appeared to be faster and more consistent to kill them rather than the old way of making them all fall off)
Room 4
PB immediately and stay at the back, hopefully magilz will run into the back section and stay there. After about 2.1 finishers enrage will happen, and its all up to his final position and if he wants to clap or not if you win. There is only one chance to get it, and it can only happen in a narrow cone about 30-40 degrees away from his bearing (previous videos have explained this in detail).
