He is one musician besides Ustad Amirkhan Sahib who has never once given a weak performance, for they never "performed", they meditated, prayed with their soul totally merged with the divine....

Nikhil Banerjee is immortal. Son of Goddess Sarswati. He obliged Sir Amir khusro who invented this beautiful instrument and gifted this world and real Gandharves like Sir Nikhil Banerjee played it . I am so lucky. My age is so lucky. Rag Yaman is so lucky.

While this is a resplendent Yaman, it is very difficult not to be completely swept away by Vilayat Khan's three part recording for HMV. If Vilayat Khan is scintillating like Viv Richards, Nikhil Banerjee is profound like Sunil Gavaskar. Entirely my views. And I respect yours. :)
