I have been avoiding everything for the last 4/5 months. I start exposure therapy this month. I’m scared but I can’t wait to start feeling like myself again.

The issue with this is that I was born directly into trauma and I haven't been able to get away from it yet. I'm moving out of state soon and I already cut off my entire family. Anyway - I can do a really good poker face but my body reacts so strongly to it that I'll get full body hives that can last for a really long time, chest pain, and total identity amnesia at my worst.

The idea of this therapy is to face the things you avoid thinking and feeling. You face the irrational fears stemming from trauma/s until you're comfortable realizing the situations have passed and you're free now.

I've been listening to EMDR music and it's helped a lot. I find myself accepting even all myself including the guilt, shame . Trauma is painful and half the reason I enjoy wearing diapers. One quarter being Rugrats and one quarter being just because I've always wanted to. Judge me if you want but before you do so. Ask yourself have you lived in my shoes. You haven't?

I'm not optimistic I have had it to long , not correct you can hear taste and feel it like it was yesterday, the worst thing to ever have, tried therapy, lots of things, I wish

How do I find a therapist to help me with this. Is this treatment covered by insurance?

A trained trauma therapist should be able to do some kind of exposure therapy with you, covered by insurance under "regular" psychotherapy. PE can be used, or CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) or EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy).
