Please be careful with Metro and really perform your due diligence on this company. Also take in consideration their 2yr non-compete clause, and they will enforce it. I know they say its because they invest training expense in you, but just beware. Something else to consider; if you are also an Independent Adjuster some of the carriers like Eberl and Renfroe will require you to give up your Public Adjuster license to work with them. There are other little ins and out that you will need to look into. Ask lots of questions and if the answers don't add up go with your gut. I'm not here to bash just offering some first hand knowledge.

For the most part yes will have to take the exam to become a Public Adjuster. The requirements are governed state by state, there are a few states were Public adjusters are prohibited from adjusting and there are a couple states were the Public Adjuster has to be an attorney. Here is a link that can tell you which states require a license. claimsmate.com/public-adjuster-license-search-fees-licensing-requirements-by-state/ Hope this helps.

Not understanding how someone with none/to little adjusting experience or construction knowledge can be marketable as a PA. That’s like hiring a brain surgeon to operate on you that didn’t finish med school or doesn’t know the basic anatomy of the brain. If you don’t have knowledge the Insurance company will smoke you like a fine cigar!! Climb up the ladder with experience don’t buy into everything you hear folks. You might regret it in the end.

My favorite part starts @12:10, where he tells the story of the kitchen fire. In the story, he admits that "most kitchen fires are suspect for arson, most honestly" and that this was ultimately a $350,000 loss. He then says "they ran the poor guy through the ringer" including requiring an EUO (a recorded statement with an attorney present) -- an entirely normal process for claims with large settlement, especially those that are "suspect" for anything. Then, with no other details provided in the video, the claim is magically settled.... all due to the presence of our lone public adjuster hero and the magical letter that he wrote? ... That claim was getting settled, it just took some time. And the public adjuster took his commission (with the home owner swindled out of that respective percentage of their settlement).
