[... continued as I reached the maximum characters limit on my previous comment] [Scene XXIII: The school children along with their folks are studying hard, the narrator talks. (7:41)] The Russian language is, for the guests from Palestine is not simple to learn, the educators noted that the decisive factor is the diligent motivation that is more than enough. [Scene XXIV: An man named Temirlan Urusov, who teaches English at a school in Teberda, speaks. (7:51)] We have close to 40 students, the level of educational success is still initial (beginner level), we recently just started teaching them. Some of them can speak in Russian, the most of them can speak English, and the remaining can only speak in their native language, that is, Arabic. To study the Russian language is of course difficult, especially for speakers of a semitic language, such as Arabic, but we are just getting started. [Scene XXV: The children are in the classroom, the narrator talks. (8:19)] Malyak is a student of Temirlan, who succeed in learning a few phrases in Russian, the results according to the teacher, were better than expected. [Scene XXVI: Malyak, the Palestinian girl with a gray hoodie talks in English through an interpreter (Mr. Urusov the teacher). (8:27)] (It’s all in English, so no need to translate, but note when she says: “I am studying to be a Russian girl”, Urusov doesn’t appear to take her seriously, he looks at her funny, and says instead “It is a new calling for all of us”) [Scene XXVII: The Palestinians are taking lessons, the narrator talks (8:59)] The lessons in the Russian language are for the guests, who are temporarily staying here, can indeed be achieved (fluency) by patiently waiting. The Russian class is their favorite activity during their daily routine. The lessons not only enable them to quickly adapt to life in the new country, and for a while at least, it helps them forget what is happening in their homeland in the Gaza sector. A thought (about the war) that practically never leaves them. Talia left there her family, brother, sister and father. At the beginning of the war, she had to leave her dream of becoming a doctor. [Scene XXVIII: The lady with a white hijab (presumably Talia) talks in English through Mr. Urusov as an interpreter. (9:26)] (No need to translate, her English is fluent) Karachay-Cherkessia is among the first regions in Russia to receive inhabitants from the Gaza sector, who were able to be saved from the horrors of war. (Then the lady with the white hijab talks in English again with Mr. Urusov as interpreter, so no need to translate) [Scene XXIX: The lady with the black hijab plays chess with her sons, the narrator talks. (10:00)] Of course, it was extremely important for us to surround them with warmth and care, the republic has sheltered them from the war. [Scene XXX: The lady with the white hijab talks in English again with Mr. Urusov as the interpreter. (10:08)] (No need to translate) [Scene XXXI: A Palestinian mother and her children are sitting on the couch. The narrator talks (11:30)] It’s understood at this point that this is just temporary accommodation, as this is not their native homeland, which unfortunately they were forced to leave. Here, for the guests from Palestine, comfortable conditions were created for as much as possible. In addition to the lessons, it was organized for them to receive 3 meals a day, around the clock. The displaced persons are guarded by the employees of MVD. An excursion (or fieldtrip) to Karachay-Cherkessia is being planned. Of course, for them medical support was established. [Scene XXXII: Inessa Biragova speaks. (11:51)] On January 2nd a fieldtrip to Teberda national park was organized. Everyone was very satisfied, they received a “sea” of positive emotions. Of course, it’s planned now, that they are studying the phrases that could enable them to venture (into the world). We are planning and organizing many events, so they will venture out, along with their families, communicate, and live a normal life. [Scene XXXIII: The children are playing with crayons; all Palestinians adults are gathered in a living room. The narrator speaks (12:20)] Practically all of Karachay-Cherkessia is worried about the fate of the inhabitants of the Gaza sector. The assistance to the Palestinians turned out to be the most difficult situation in the republic. Many people were engaged in this endeavor such as the leader of the region, Rashid Terpezov, who from the very beginning of the military actions in Palestine, set up the work that was aimed at helping people affected by the war. [Scene XXXIV: A man named Kazim Shamanov who is the minister of conservation of Karachay-Cherkessia speaks. (12:40)] Upon arrival, the main task of the ministry of conservation was to provide medical assistance for all those who needed it, also the (same) standard procedures of medical attention is being carried out (regarding the Palestinian patients), is the same as it is done with the citizens of the Russian Federation. On that same day, medical attention was organized around the clock. [Scene XXXV: All the refugees are enjoying time, gathered in the same living room. The narrator speaks. (13:06)] Note that in Karachay-Cherkessia the task of providing help to the refugees from the Gaza sector will continue until all their needs no longer exist (or are met).

Pulse of the Republic: The Refugees from the Gaza Sector have Found Shelter in Teberda. [Scene I: The Palestinian refugees arrive to the train station in Karachay-Cherkessia] They left the horrors of war, this is just not an image, but a speech of a painful truth, which unfortunately manifests the reality of the contemporary world. This people lived several months under the bombardment of the Israeli army, not knowing whether or not they would be able to survive to the next day. They were simply forced to abandon their homes. Now Ahmed Ali, together with his family, are already in safety. In Karachay-Cherkessia they found refuge. Here they receiving care. But the main thing is that they are in a safe and peaceful zone, which they yearned to be in for the past months. [Scene II: A Palestinian refugee named Ahmed Alhelu speaks in Arabic through an interpreter. (0:48)] I feel tranquility in this place. We arrived from a very dangerous place, where war is being waged, to a place where there is no war, where all is quiet. [Scene III: The refugees are seen arriving at the bus terminal. The narrator talks. (1:12)] Today, it became evident that the majority of the world doesn’t do anything for the people in the Gaza sector who are being killed for to fault of their own. Russia is one of few countries that are ready to provide help. Not only did it give its word, but also fulfilled it. Our republic, like many other regions in Russia have joined together in sending humanitarian aid to the inhabitants of Palestine. Time has come to prepare for the necessary second air-flight. A meeting has been set for the (Palestinian) people in Karachay-Cherkessia with the head of the republic, Rashid Temrezov, to receive instructions. They created comfortable living accommodations, and three meals a day. The republic was among the first regions to receive Palestinian refugees fleeing the war. [Scene IV: A man named Džanibek Suyunov, who is “Deputy Chairman of the Government of Karachay-Cherkessia”, speaks to the reporter with some yellow vans in the background. (1:49)] Today we are at the railway station of the city, we are greeting the Palestinian refugees from Gaza. Literally, two days ago the special M.CH.S “Ministry of Emergency Situations” (agents) have evacuated them from Egypt to Moscow. [Scene V: The narrator talks. (2:06)] Karachay-Cherkessia has accepted 40 Palestinian inhabitants, of whom 26 are children. Their placement was specially prepared in one of the resting bases in the Town of Kurort Teberda. The authorities of the republic prepared all what’s necessary to make the residence comfortable for the refugees. [Scene VI: Džanibek Suyunov speaks. (2:22)] The problem in terms of placement, that we are seeing, the answer to the question mainly rests on the control of the head of the republic, the government, and we are doing everything to make the housing for the refugees, so it could be carried out at a decent level. [Scene VII: The palestinian refugees are seen arriving at a hotel. The narrator talks. (2:42)] The guests from Palestine are at the “Pearl of the Caucasus” one of the best suburban resting bases in Teberda. For the arrival of the group, they prepared a road trip. They did renovations in advance; the premises were equipped with two play rooms. The medical post that was prepared for medical accompaniment for the guests, was taken seriously. [Scene VIII: A Female Doctor named Indiana Elkanova speaks. (3:00)] They arrived at 7 am, we immediately checked their temperature with a thermometer, no one had fever, not even a number of the children (that were tested, and where not ill? IDK) I carried out tests for covid and flu, in general the tests were very good. I tested everyone, and the virus wasn’t discovered in anyone. Those who arrived included 40 persons, they are being examined, we are obtaining analysis, we are carrying out instrumentation. The doctors are also examining (the patients). Such work will be provided around the clock. The guests wire given close attention and care. [Scene IX: The children are playing with color books and crayons. The narrator talks. (3:38)] The head of Karachay-Cherkessia, Rashid Temrezov had the task to make them (the refugees) feel as comfortable and cozy as possible. They could overcome stress and fear that accompanied them for the past months. For that reason, we checked how the group has settled in Teberda in the first days after their arrival, we are performing our duty. The minister of Labor and social development of Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, Dena Kamurzaeva, is authorized to look after the rights of the children, along with Maria Alakaeva, they spoke to the guests directly, they recognized all what they like, and what they wish to have. The most important question that interested (or concerned) the guests was what would happen to them from now onwards. [Scene X: Dena Kamurzaeva, a curly haired woman wearing a covid mask, speaks to Palestinian women sitting on the couch. (4:14)] The previous experience in settling our refugees, the situation developed as follows: Either the (refugee) people returned home (to their home countries? IDK), or they remained in the Russian Federation, where they themselves have desired. We fully provide activities, such as school lessons for the children, lessons learning the language, finding employment, medical help, and so on. Everything you need, you will receive in full, exactly until all your needs are met. [Scene XI: The hotel rooms where the refugees were to be housed is shown. The narrator talks (4:53)] For the resettlement of the guests, it was taken into account their wishes, all their rooms were warm, equipped with heating. [Scene XII: A Blonde-haired woman named Inessa Biragova, speaks to a man dressed in black shirt. (5:00)] We have studied all the possibilities; we have provided to them, there is a fella who lives in a quadruple number (I wonder if she is referring to a four-bedroom apartment) without any problems, enough premises have been created to make comfortable conditions. [Scene XIII: The Palestinian refugees are eating together in a long table. The narrator talks. (5:15)] Special attention was placed on the group’s nourishment, taking into account the usual products. Of the 40 newcomers, 26 of them are children. One of the main tasks was to set up their schooling, that agrees with their age. [Scene XIV: Inessa Biragova speaks. (5:28)] Based on the technicality that many of the children do not know the Russian language, in principal and in practice they speak in either English or Arabic. There are many of them who speak English. Our ministry of education will organize the training process on the military base PVR Regulatory. The regulatory details and nuances are being worked out. They (the children) will be taught. Here we are organizing the process of housing them in apartments, classrooms. There is plenty of room (to accommodate the refugees) it will all be done. [Scene XV: Children are seen playing with toys. The narrator speaks (6:00)] For the 10-year-old Amer, everything here is new, this is the first time he is seeing snow and the mountains. Even a usual toy such as the “Nevalyashka” (a round looking “humanoid” if you push him down, he will always rise again) appears like something unusual (to him). Everything is to his liking. [Scene XVI: Little Amer talks in Arabic, the interpreter superimposed his voice in the video editing. (6:10)] I like this place, it is quiet, people are nice, friendly and beautiful, and are always helping. [Scene XVII: Four Palestinian girls are sitting around the hotel room, the narrator talks. (6:18)] Such feelings and impressions (makes the Palestinians) delighted with the (charity) drives of the locals and the warm attitude towards the refugees, and the attention devoted to them. [Scene XVIII: Palestinian girl wearing a gray hoodie, talks to the camera, the translator’s voice was superimposed during the video editing process. (6:23)] I am very happy with the people, they are friendly, they gave us clothes and toys. This is the first time I am seeing snow, it’s a beautiful sight, I really like it. [Scene XIX: The narrator talks. (6:33)] Without exception the visitors have received a few pairs of shoes and clothes, as well as toys for the children. A little later our guests awaited an excursion (or fieldtrip) to the prettiest sights in Karachay-Cherkessia. A few weeks later our filming crew once again visited the guests from the Gaza sector, to see how they are settling in their new place. [Scene XX: The children of Gaza are practicing their newly acquired Russian language skills. (6:54)] What’s your name? My name is Amer (replies a boy holding a pencil). How old are you? I am 26 (replies another lady wearing a black Hijab). [Scene XXI: The teacher lectures a classroom comprised of both children and adults. The narrator talks. (7:05)] This is an (unusual) occasion where in a classroom desk the children aged 6 to 7 are sitting next to adults who are aged 30. Now all those who have arrived from the Gaza sector to Karachay-Cherkessia are now being taught the basics of the Russian language, which constitutes their most important stage in adapting to (life in) Russia, such as learning the alphabet and simple phrases which could help them become acquainted to their new friends. [Scene XXII: A woman named Mariana Urusova, who is the “Head of the Ministry of Education and sciences of Karachay-Cherkessian Republic”, speaks. (7:24)] Today, I wish for the inhabitants of Palestine to be organized in the educational process to study the Russian language, both for the school age children and their parents who are their legal representatives, who alongside them (the children) find themselves in the time period to remain here.
