Puliogare is a traditional rice item, for which neither onion nor garlic is used. But all other spices are required other than garlic, onion, ginger etc. A trick to remember the ingredients is, all the spices need to prepare sambar should be required to puliogare. Other than those, black sesame seeds, grated dry coconut, peppers are required. But the main ingredients for puliogare are tamarind, salt and jaggery in equal proportions. All the ingredients for tempering are must to make a tasty puliogare. Hing and sesame seeds flavour should be strong in puliogare. The puliogare gojju can be stored upto one month in room temperature and upto 3 months in refrigerator.

Coriender seeds 4sp
Methi 1/2 sp
Jeera 1sp
Urad dal 2sp

Turmeric powder 1/2 sp
Seseme, oil 1/2 cup
Ground nut 1/2cup
Mustard seeds 1sp
Curry leaves
Jaggary 75grms
Salt for taste
Rice 2 cups
