The first thing most people need to work on when it comes to "consistency" is practicing "consistent kindness" to themselves. Keep on keeping on, Douggie! Prayin for you ❤

I know this is different from your journey, but I have struggled with food addiction my whole life too. I’m 21. I have lost 40lbs in a year before, but gained it all back and then some when I went to college. Weighing over 200lbs at 5’2. Now I am down 22lbs and still clawing my way back down the scale. I hope you keep pushing forward with your journey. Absolutely love your incite on not getting frustrated with yourself when you slip up. We all do it. Great attitude. Maybe try getting some handle weights and strap them onto your arms, so then you are working out without even trying, everytime you move! It also has helped me to buy a new water bottle so I am motivated to drink more water to keep everything flowing and healthy in my body. Another tip that helped me is to keep track of how many calories I’m eating per day, not to restrict myself, but to be aware of all the things I’m putting in my body per day. Anyway Doug, I wish you luck on your journey you’ve got this!!! God bless you always

@@douggiedoesfatloss Do it! Just be you! No creativity needed, your personality and eagerness to change your current situation is all you need and you already have that. With your limited hours at work already, what do you have to loose? Nothing but everything to gain! Keep plugging into your KZitem content more and more. Don’t let that fear hold you back.

Hey Doug! I'm also working on getting myself back together ... going on day 3 of my new health routine. Consistency is a struggle for me so what i started doing was scheduling out my day. I'm more driven to do things when i schedule them because otherwise it'll throw everything else off and my brain can't have that.

@douggiedoesfatloss so far so good! It took me several attempts to find meals and workouts that keep me interested/motivated enough to even attempt to stick to something. I think the trick, though, was not stopping one thing unless I had something to substitute it with. So let's say cycling wasn't doing it for me and I hated the numb butt after, I'd keep doing it until I figured out something to swap it with like a walk or an exercise video. Same with food. Salads are not sustainable for me because I don't have the time to prep, so I swapped for microwave steamed veg and grilled salmon on my ninja foodie grill. Never stop, only swap, then lock in what works.

I’m praying for you! Progress doesn’t mean that you don’t experience hiccups or setbacks. It just means you keep pushing forward in spite of those things. Every small steps counts. Eventually you’ll start seeing that light at the end of the tunnel and it’ll become easier to get there. You’ve lost 300lbs before and you can do it again. Focus on both your physical and mental health. They both affect each other. God loves you and you have a purpose in this life. Keep staying strong and pushing forward. Im glad you found a good doctor and I’m praying that your evaluation by the gastroenterologist goes well and whatever medical condition you may have gets resolved. I’ll be praying for your mother too! Don’t give up on yourself ever!
