I see alot of comments here about many things, i think some people also fail to understand that the Pulsar Axion series Are mainly focused for use on wide open fields like farming landscape or mountains, if you Are hunting in denser forrest or shorter distances you will find the Finder to suit you’re Pocket better.

Common, is not same products. Axion with 320x240 pix. @ 12 µm bolometer , Infiray - 12µ Pixel / 640 x 512 and 2 times expensive. Take pulsar alcolade2 with 640x480 @ 17 µm (NETD

ramzis3 The Infiray FL25R has 12 µm 384x288px sensor. The 640x512px version is called FH25R.

1)резкость не настроена 2) изначально понятно по техническому описанию и по картинке ,кратность у Пульсара начальная выше ,китайцы пытаются обмануть что картинка резче 3)модуль у китайца при приближении никакой

I used google translate to know what you tried to tell. Not everything is clear. The main point from me is that 1) sharpness was definitely perfect. The Axion is that blurry compared to the Infiray. Obviously the image in the viewfinder is better than on the 4x oversampled video (from 320x240 to 640x480), but it is true for the Infiray as well. 2) Pulsar smooths the pixels more than Infiray that is why you cannot see pixels in Axion but hence the image is not as sharp as the less smoothed Infiray. The Chinese cameras have one more trick: the have a tiny halo-effect around the animals that makes the picture more sharp. It is an optical illusion due to oversharpening, but it works to be honest: the percieved sharpnes is way better. The Finder FL25R is medium-level product from Infiray. The Axion is almost an entry level product from Pulsar. You can imagine that an entry level camera will never be the same as a mid-level. Yes their price is near to each other, but Pulsar pay European salaries, European raw-material (partly), and worldwide marketing. While Chinese manufacturers pay lower salaries, lower raw-material costs and has no marketing activity. Anyway Infiray is one of the biggest thermal-imaging manufacturers of the world. Even Leica has contracts with them regarding their new Calonox which is a very impressive thermal scope. So believe me, it's not cheating, it's real life. Like it or not.

Should have also compared the built in rangefinder for ease of use.

OWAIN JONES when this comparison was made, Pulsar had no Axion with rangefinder yet. But I’ll tell ya, Pulsar’s RF may be better. Infiray’s rangefinder is ‘not the sharpest knife in the drawer’. :)

So the FL25R beats the XM30S hands down for clarity. That means the FH25R should be incredible :)

There is not much difference. It has wider field of view (and obviously digital zoom is better). And the manual image sharpening from quick menu has a better effect, more sense in case of 640x512px resolution.

It’s 2000 more than pulsar the hellion blows this iray out of the water btw and it’s cheaper
3 жыл бұрын
Sure! Because the Finder is a lower end product just like Axions at Pulsar. However the Pulsar Helions’ direct competitor are the InfiRay X-Eye series. X-Eye E3 Plus and Max V2 for the Helion XQ38 and XQ50, and E6+ and Pro V2 for the Helion XPs. Believe me they can catch up with the Helions! They are 40mK and has 1300-1800-2500 meters detection distances, more than Pulsars.

not fair comparison .InfiRay FL25R is more expensive.
2 жыл бұрын
You are wrong. It is fair. Axion XM30S - 320x240px, 12 µm, 30mm - approx. 1650 Euro Finder FL25R - 384x288px, 12 µm, 25mm with rangefinder - approx. 1950 Euro (higher price is because of the laser rangefinder, but specifications are nearly the same) Actually the Infiray Finder can be purchased without the rangefinder in some countries. It is called Finder FL25. That might even cheaper than the Pulsar Axion XM30S.

Yes, I think is not the most correct match, because the price is 2x more, too.
