This proportion will yield 3 Roths.Can be made into two roth's also, more time needed for frying
Ingredents:
1 cup whole wheat flour
2-1/2 tbsp sugar dissolved in 4 tbsp warm milk(1/2 tbsp sugar can be more added, for more sweet roth's
1-1/2 tbsp warm ghee for dough kneading
Few crushed black cardamom seeds
Ghee for deep frying
Procedure:
Take flour and ghee, add crushed cardamom seeds. Mix well , it should look crumbly in texture.
Now add warm sugar milk syrup to form dough.
Rest it for 5 minutes
Divide dough into equal portions(divided into 3 equal portions).
Pinch lemon size dough and using little warm ghee to roll into 6 inches thick roti.
Mark some patterns using knife or fork or rim of glass or small round lids. These patterns helps to prevent puffing up of Roths in while frying.
Now heat the ghee on low flame and immerse the poori into hot ghee..
Fry on each side on low flame, will take 5-7 min for each roth to be fried.
Sprinkle some poppy seeds on hot roths.
And its ready to offer as prasad to lord Ganesha 😊
Serve with tea usually with kashmiri khewa or sheer chai(pink salty tea)
Optional : For prasd decoration sprinkle dessicated coconut over the roths
