Not sure, but did you tone them out with a continuity check of a multimeter? These things are so basic, there isn't much that can go wrong. Coil of wire and a magnet.

Yeah. Zero on the ohm meter. Open circuit. Typically when a coil goes it acts like a fuse at some point. I found another pair online for $150 the set that look to be in much better condition and have been tested and declared good. I got a full refund for the 1st pair I bought and the owner said toss them, don't ship them back. Now I have 4 bad titanium tweets to tinker and experiment with. Wonder if i can fix any of them? Will look for parts. @@user-dq5xx9hi4q Look for guitar pickup wire. It's real thin. There is a chart to convert feet to ohms based on diameter. Anyway, guitar pickup wire bulk and a caliper on the old wire for gauge should get you close.
