it's amazing how 3 simple notes (high B♭ - A - B♭) can make such a beautiful, iconic sequence

After experiencing a storm, quietly looking forward to the clear sky, you pass the second rainbow through the east and west, and bring the note of hope into people's hearts. Life is like a rainbow, the beauty is short and slim, it is worth looking forward to and cherish!

Charles- hi! I was certain that I could not have been the only one to notice the lady in the front row (third from the right) appear to wipe away a tear about 30 seconds from the end. That compelled me to read all the comments, and, sure enough, one other person did mention it, amongst many moving expressions of how meaningful this performance is. Charles, please know in your heart that what you share in this performance is truly a gift to the world- an offering of love with many layers and dimensions. Continue to be guided by your inner voice; it is serving you very very well! 😊

@@CharlesSzczepanek Of course! You are very welcome! I am trying to bring some of these less frequently viewed performances to others’ attention. I stumbled upon one of yours from 13 years ago- a sonata by Paul Harvey, Jr. that I truly believe is so special and that others would really appreciate as well! 😊 I’m trying to be judicious with my comments, but there is so much great stuff- I almost have to “hold back”! I’m so happy for your new album release! You’re doing great! ☺️

@@christopherzimmer That Sonata is quite incredible! If I were to give any solo classical recitals again (not concerts of my own works, which is nearly exclusively what I do these days), that Sonata would definitely be the second half of the program! It's a beast to play, but sooo great.

I listened to some of your acoustic piano stuff. You should never put a reverb on to make it sound better, with an e piano yes ok, but your audience wants to hear you raw especially the musicians. The audience coughing sounds dreadful with the reverb aswel 😂

Sorry you didn't like it, Erwin! About 25 of the 100 measures of this piece is original writing of mine, in the style of the two pieces presented... and if I'm honest, those bars are my own personal favorites of the arrangement and some of the measures I'm most proud of writing over the course of the last 6 years. I wish I could point you to a recording of my arrangement without them, but I don't have one!
