You guys should practice this swing using a tee first. Relax your hands and throw them through the zone. Looks like you're muscling it.

Did you notice a difference in the ball? I find the nx3 balls to have a super grippy cover compared to other balls. I can usually spin the heck out of those things! I honestly haven’t notice a difference in any of the barrel coatings.
@LeagueNightSoftball

I don't think there was a noticeable amount of added spin however we both prefer to hit those NX3s. Maybe it is extra spin and we just don't notice. Always feels like those fly a bit better.

3-great bats! 1- Seems like you are hitting more off your front foot and shifting your weight more with the cut swing. 2- I have had people tell me the flexier barrels are better for cutting the ball... your opinion?
@LeagueNightSoftball
2 жыл бұрын
1 - That is definitely true. Neither of us have really dialed it in yet. We have to work on staying back a bit. 2 - I (Cam) like the flex for a cut swing but I think Jason prefers more stiff handles for cuts.

Hey Mike, thanks for watching! Unfortunately, these are all USSSA bats and won't be allowed in NAGAAA tournaments. Each of the three companies does make an ASA/USA model that would be eligible for NAGAAA events. I can send you some links to them if you are interested! I love it. All these haters talking about how ugly the swing looks are dumb, yes you guys are learning the cut swing but you have taken the time to study a lot of great softball hitters. In my opinion the cut swing you see most top level players have are using a bottom hand dominate swing. Taking the bat head to the ball and ending the swing coming down on the ball. The swing is effortless and you focus on making 100 percent contacted. With the bottom hand swing and hand over knob you create leverage that wips the bat head at the ball the lunches it. Its hard to adjust from using the two handed baseball grip like you do, the top hand just needs to do a little less and remember to throw it like an axe. Also have those hands high. This is softball not baseball do what works !
