If you don't have a dehydrator don't worry, you can do the same thing in your oven at a super low temperature. I've done a video on it here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/tJCaqZaKendhgoY

Tip: After grinding into powder, pour back out on drying sheets and dehydrate agin for a few more hours. Reason: Dehydrating only removes up to 75% of moisture. When grinding a dried product you expose areas that may still contain moister. Re-drying the powder removes the remaining moisture which helps to prevent clumping.

@AriaAaliyahCanales I can’t answer that for you. Depends on the machine you’re using, the humidity of the day etc. but I would start with at least 2 and go from there

With this, I have seen everything in this life. What an amazing way to color, flavor and texture food! Q1. On the sweetness scale, where does it rank when compared to standard white sugar? Q2. And can it be used like normal sugar, i.e. in coffee? Thanks! I’ve subbed.
@urbahurba
2 жыл бұрын
to Q2. no it cannot be used, unless you want chunks of smashed sweetpotatoes in your coffee :D. basicly when the powder reabsorbes water, it just becomes regular smashed sweetpotatoes

Hi KAC Creative! It's awesome and so simple, I thought it was more complicated but I'm wondering if it's really necessary to cook the sweet potatos? Could I use it just raw sliced or cubed? Thank you
@ChefStudioChannel

I think you probably could! Might just take a bit longer to dehydrate but I’ve seen it done with slices of the potato just left in the sun 😊

Hey Karol, Once it's dehydrated I've found that it keeps really nicely for about a month. After that it starts to reabsorb moisture (though this could change depending on your climate's humidity of course)
