In the playoffs it’s literally a roll of the dice to see who is or isn’t going to get injured, so I disregard anyone that tries to invalidate a win because an opponent was injured. If it was always a clear win against a team with injuries, then how did the Hawks not beat the Bucks after Clint Capela bent Giannis’ leg the wrong way. It’s more the fault of the team for building around aging players that have a history with injuries (Nets).

Some things you forgot: The Rockets in the mid 90s didnt have to face their kryptonite the Seattle Supersonics because they were upset both years in the first round. And the Shaq Lakers didnt start winning until they hired Michael Jordan's former coach, who probably would still be Jordan's coach had the Bulls front office not pissed him off.

the real asterisk for 2011 was brandon roy being hobbled, yet the blazers still went 6 games against the mavs in the first round and put up the greatest fight against the mavs out of any other team that entire postseason. you could say if b roy were healthy the mavs wouldn't have made it past the first round

This should really be changed to "Every decade has at least 2 championships that deserve an asterisk, 2 that were rigged by the league, 2 where one team looked like high schoolers, 2 where injuries sealed the fate of a team, and 2 where horrible officiating screwed a team from winning out of spite or bets placed on games

“The winning team made 20 free throws in the last quarter” crazy how losing teams will foul so the other team can’t chew clock. I haven’t watched most of the games with these instances cited but I’m 99% sure they were just a losing team going for standard 4th quarter comeback strategy.
