Finally able to go and try some drone fishing UK style! I wanted to see if drone fishing could catch a monster fish. The spot this week was Seaford beach, which is a well known sea fishing UK venue.
Our first beach trip in a while was the Buckle in Seaford on the East Sussex coast. Our aim was to go sea fishing from the shore. Parked in the Buckle car park and walked a short distance to go sea fishing by Seaford yacht club. I set up shelter and my rods for some plaice fishing.
Arrived early morning just before seven at low tide with very light South Easterly winds, bright sunshine and a calm sea. Although the water was cloudy from the strong winds the day before.
fished a continental rod with green and black beads on the trace and baited with black lug.
The other rod was a thirteen foot beach caster with a Penn 325 mag reel which was baited with half a mackerel on a flowing trace. This I flew out using a drone and a release trigger system to drop the weight and baited hook 200 metres out to sea.
I was hoping to see if the different drone fishing made any difference.
