I’m running the same exact setup with the exception of using the Mod Armory bridge. I’ve been using red hot without too many issues while night hunting. Dual band is definitely the way to go.

To beat the headache you need to use it a lot. I white a white phosphorus pvs14 in white hot on the rh25. After about 10 hours of hiking I no longer get headaches and can hike the entire night with both on. Just takes practice.

Maybe a video on the advantages of running an IR / thermal vs complaints? Actually, some already exist so don't bother.

A white phos +2800 FOM PVS 14 and a Trijicon Oasys Skeet IR or a Voodoo-S would be kick ass

3:26 Black hot/white hot is already difficult enough to intepret with the night vision goggle at the same time. The only true thermal system made to bridge a thermal with a monocular like the PVS14 is the POT Voodoo and BAE/Trijicon SkeetIR line. It has a mode - edge detect that disables the screen and only illuminates the display for thermal signatures making it seamless no difficulty to use. This same mode is also great when using weapon mounted- dedicated or clip on for use with passive shooting it doesnt over illuminate the night vision device and allows accurate fire. This mode is purely software related and something should be easily added to these chinese offerings. Dont know why.. maybe they will eventually

The Nox 18 or trijicon is better for helmet use. The voodoo s is only 15 degrees FOV compared to the 24 FOV that the trijicon or Nox 18 have. Other than that voodoo s smokes them on everything else.

@@LukePRTR the NOX 18 has edge detect as well. Like I said the Nox 18/trijicon are best for Helmet use due to their FOV. Only problem with the NOX is it isnt a a true 1x seems like it has a little demag… so I’d say TRIJICON then the NOX those are the best the best thermals to run on a helmet. POT VOODOO S is the clip on king for 300 yards and in.

What's to "interpret"? Thermal image with one eye, infrared with the other ... same image. Some of ya are makin this difficult and it ain't. If ya got the tools get out and use them and you'll find that you'll adapt fairly quickly ... or ya can sit back and sharp shoot. Everything has it's limitations but you'll likely encounter yours first.

thoughts on thermal on right eye vs left eye?

Right hand strong side ... thermal on the left, IR on the right. detect with thermal, rotate the IR up and acquire target with right, clip on thermal.
