@@mpup54 On the contrary. Bella will emerge stronger for what she experienced. She actually needed that experience and now understands what to expect going forward My prediction would be that Bella will realize the big name professionals are going to make her earn every tournament. It’s better that way, because when she wins one (and she will soon enough) Bella will realize she had to take it away from them. Nobody is going to hand it to her Actually if she bowled me…I’d make her earn it…and she is already better than me 😂

Hi Bella! Normally I wouldn't watch this kind of stuff - especially with you not performing particularly well - but there's something intriguing about sharing in your experience. Kinda addicting LOL 😮 I'm sure you have coaches and other people in your circle who can give you hands-on attention and insight. That said, I will offer you a kernel of feedback that I hope can contribute to you re-centering toward the right direction. You have to either change your ball motion to match up with the pattern, or you need to get better at creating angles for yourself. You have almost zero control of your ball at the breakpoint. Which makes imperfect first shots unreasonably difficult spare clusters and/or splits. And, psychologically, it makes you feel like you're throwing your ball across a 2x4 vs 39 boards. A very ugly feeling, and I've been there - too many times LOL 🤣 I hope you've had a chance to watch Liz Johnson throw shots next to you. She's got the right idea, and you need to emulate her strategically. You don't need to throw the ball like her, but, like Liz, you need to create angles for yourself that give you some control at the breakpoint such that your off hits at least give you makeable spare chances far more often than not. Gotta stop conspiring against yourself and play a bit smarter, not harder. I've subscribed to your channel and will keep an eye on you from a distance. Keep learning, and best of luck to you ❤

You do realize she is 14 years old. She doesn't have a coaching team other than her parents. She taught herself. Why don't u say how great she did being the youngest person to ever bowl in the US Open. A 14 year old doesn't need to be torn down like that. She is just a very young lady. Give her credit where it is desrved

@J.S. Hotshot300 once again she is 14. Like still a child not even in high-school yet. Really you don't do that to a child. She doesn't have any coaches except her parents. So I guess u at 14 years old were going up against grown adults and holding ur own
@BillRWare

@@michaelhescock2045 Actually, I didn't realize she was 14 - which makes my insight even more appropriate, as I observed the game, not the person. That said, the people closest and nearest to her have the best answers, and you should be able to infer that directly from my words. Unfortunately, the lanes and the pins don't know Bella's age, either, and it gave Bella the most unforgiving and critical assessment of her play. Fortunately, she is learning the hard lessons sooner rather than later. Which, hopefully, she adapts sooner rather than later. Finally, this is a big girls game. There's no room at the inn for babysitters 😁

You have handled this all so well.....so pro.....I do believe that all your bowling at Diamond Lanes and what I am to understand as inferior oil maintenance of their lanes might have certainly lengthened the amount of time it took to acclimate yourself to the conditions at the open? You certainly bowl there enough that they could take 2 lanes and do some patterns and let you and others have the opportunity to bowl on them before you go out on the road? Wishing you a lovely summer....would love a report on the balls that you used vs the ones you didn't bring sometime???

Old man bowler here. I understand modern bowling theory recommends using your spare ball on all pickups, even those on the left side and the bucket too. While I don't agree with that approach, if you are going to do it you still have to stand in the optimal location. I would prefer Miss Castillo stand further right when shooting for the 1-2-4 to avoid chopping, and stand further left for the 3-6-10 to avoid missing.

I'm not a bowler myself but I do know to become serious at any skill/career one has to dedicate and discipline themselves to whatever dream or life calling it is that they are trying to achieve. I guess I'm asking how many hours a week does one have to put in to become a Bowler? A serious one? Not just someone who plays for beer or to escape from life's stresses? One other question when you have the time: what is your biggest comeback in a game? And not that you need it but a big fresh squeezed carrot juice with an occasional shot of wheatgrass will give you energy like a rabbit. Bouncing and hopping all over the place. But you have to get it into your system from the time it's juiced to just before the enzymes start to die. About 4 mins. It's not tasty like a milkshake but the benefits are invaluable. And honestly after the first couple the taste becomes familiar and your body will thank you.. sorry I rambled . I'm super tired. Thank you.

I have continued to watch you and comment and make suggestions. You are good and you have what it takes to be great. Bowling is a process and takes a lot of practice but you have to practice correctly to be come good else you just learn to to be perfectly wrong instead of perfectly right. Learn from others. Watch and learn from others. Your consistently make the same 2 to 4mistakes and I will state them again here and then you go out and practice them . One, you rush almost every shot. Two you raise up on 80 percent of your shots. Third you do not angle the body for for the shot you are trying to make. Most bowlers that are great learn to bowl with there legs and feet, not with their arm swing. You play up the lane which makes you pull the ball onto the head pin. I saw you bowled along with Lis Johnson, who rarely moves her head nor her left leg and knee, which keeps her head down and allows her to come through the ball . Your head and your left leg should never move up or down and only rarely move downward. You also need to learn to play all the lane. What do I mean by that. When you go out an practice, you should play every arrow on the land then Learn to pick out any spot at the arrows or down the lane at the break point. Have some one point to a spot using a light pin, and then hit that spot from every spot on the lane including all the way left and right. I guess I did not give you point four, which states to visualize the shape you want the ball to travel. You should be able to stand on the 35 board and hit the five board down at the break point. And in your mind see the path of the ball. In practice it does not matter where the ball goes. Your purpose is to make the ball roll where you want it to. That is part of the process, the you can use different balls to get different reactions then, but you must learn to put that ball any place on the lans you want consistently. That does not have to take long, either a couple weeks yo get your thickly right, or a lifetime if you do not get the thinking, because every pro will tell you 90 percent of bowling is in the head, not in the swing, and if say the foot work, speed of the approach gives you the direction you are looking. You work on what I told you in practice, and for a week or so and you will be able to start making a difference. I know it is easy to say the lanes are hard, and they are hard, but they are hard for everyone. You only have to bowl bowl better than the ones that say they are hard. Then they will say you make it look easy. You notice I never say change anything in your hands or swing. Those are the very fine points when your are starting to win. You must do the 4 things I mention above to be great - Do not rush the delivery, stay down on the shot, both head and left leg, learn to shape the bowl so you can play any part of the lane. Otherwise you have an (A) game and no B,C,D game. Good luck. Follow my advice you have nothing to lose and you might take 5 years off your progress to becoming great. Mr PO
